I feel like Amelie products rarely disappoint! It's always one of my go-to recommendations! 1. Color I have a light complexion with deep undertones, but this seems to work well for both cool and warm skin tones. I bought it after seeing my cool-toned friend use it, and it's not too flashy - just nice and versatile. 2. Moisturizing Even though my lips are prone to dead skin cells, this goes on smoothly without emphasizing any flakiness. I think this is its best feature. 3. Fragrance-free It's practically unscented, which makes it really pleasant to use without any off-putting smells. 1. The amount is too small After about two months, I'm starting to see the bottom of the container, and I don't even use it exclusively! 2. Product tends to leak I regularly clean the applicator, wand, and cap, but compared to other tints, this one leaves way too much product on the cap. For longer-lasting color, try applying a water tint as a base before using this! - su*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinJun 12, 2024
The color is absolutely cherry-like, it's so beautiful! The pigmentation is excellent. It's sensitive to heat. I left it briefly on a warm floor mat, and it immediately discolored. I couldn't use it after that. - 60****Combination SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJan 21, 2024
Amelie really nails their eyeshadow colors. They apply vibrantly and beautifully. It's not great that my lips feel dry after application. Also, there seems to be an issue with the packaging or product itself as it leaks excessively. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2024
As someone with extremely dry skin and a cool undertone, I think I've found my holy grail lip product. Water tints were always too drying, and I've tried many other brands, but Ameli is the first tint that stays vibrant and moisturizing for hours, even when applied alone. I wholeheartedly recommend this to those with very dry skin! Although I have a cool undertone, I love warm lip colors, so I bought this. If you're cool-toned, try Cherry Tin - it'll become your go-to lip product! Pigmentation: It's a cherry-hued tint that suits cool undertones, just as shown on the product page. Apply a light layer all over your lips, then add another dab in the center, and it looks so beautiful you won't need to mix it with other lip products. Longevity: Being an oil tint, I thought it would wear off quickly like most lip glosses. However, the color lasts surprisingly long, and even after it transfers, there's still a nice stain left behind. It's perfect for daily use. Because it's so good, I find myself using it frequently, which means it runs out quite quickly. The volume is a bit disappointing. For those with dry skin, apply this tint alone, let it dry slightly, then top it with Rom&nd's clear lip gloss (for a plumping effect) or Etude's Ginger Sugar Lip Balm. Your lips will look absolutely luscious, like sugar-coated fruit! - da********Combination SkinRecommendedSep 18, 2023
It has the advantage of being both a tint and a lip gloss. The color stains beautifully, and most importantly, even with just a quick swipe, the glow remains vibrant on the lips. It's the first time I've seen such a gorgeous effect! There's nothing particularly bad to mention. This tint has turned the usual drawbacks of shimmery tints into strengths. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 1, 2023
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and the gradient effect is surprisingly fantastic for a tint. I'm a fan of gradient lips but usually struggle to achieve the look due to my lack of skill. With this tint, though, I can effortlessly create a beautiful gradient just by swiping it on! I purchased the Cherry Tint shade, which is a lovely cherry red - perfect for everyday wear. However, the amount of product is less than I expected... Considering the price, it's not the most cost-effective option. I'll probably need to repurchase soon. - tj*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 23, 2023
The best thing is that it dispenses just the right amount for application each time. The texture is out of this world. It's incredibly moisturizing. The color payoff has a beautiful watercolor effect. It's even better because it's not a water-tint, and it looks just like my natural lip color. It feels expensive because there aren't any big sales. The amount of product is a bit disappointing. The applicator is so good that you don't need a lip brush. Just follow your lip line and you can easily achieve a full lip look. - ti*****Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedFeb 4, 2023
Is this the revamped tint from Ameli that everyone's talking about? I was itching to buy it right away, but the price gave me pause. After some deliberation, I finally took the plunge during the Lunar New Year sale! 💗 What's the formula like? At first application, I was utterly disappointed... 🥲 When I bought it, it looked like a vibrant cherry pink. I chose a bright color for spring, but on my lips, it was a delicate, clear red. It might appear as a pink-red if your natural lip color shows through. As for the glow, it's there, but subtle - like you've applied a tinted lip balm with a bit of color. I was pretty let down, to be honest. But as I kept applying, I discovered the reason... The packaging controls the amount automatically, so only a tiny bit comes out on the applicator. With such a sheer formula and minimal product, no wonder it starts off so subtle! I figured the shine would be minimal too. From then on, I kept layering it, aiming for more color. After several applications, a slightly deeper cool red emerged. It wasn't as bright as I'd hoped, but it was that color that makes your skin look fairer and your eyes more defined, even without much eye makeup. I realized it might take 2-3 times more layering than other brands' tints. Then, as I checked the mirror before heading out, I was shocked - what happened to the shine? It looked like someone had covered my lips in strawberry tanghuru! The glossiness was incredible! While most moisturizing tints develop some shine over time, Ameli's glow seems different - it's not just a water-like sheen, but more like the oil and moisture are perfectly balanced, just as the product page describes. My lips looked absolutely stunning! I've been considering lip plumping treatments since my lips have gotten smaller recently, but with this tint, I might not need to bother! 💗 Staying power To be honest, I avoided buying Ameli tints before the revamp because of longevity concerns. I buy tints for their staying power, and Ameli (and Narcissism) seemed to fall short. But with zero expectations, I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't survive mala tang, but it held up well through sandwiches and fruit. The glossiness went from tanghuru-level to a more subtle serum-like glow. The stain left behind was a light, classic red. It barely transferred when drinking water, and the color remained intact. It's definitely a true tint! 💗 Darkening Almost none! The initial application isn't really the true color due to the formula and packaging, so if we consider that sheer, clear red as the starting point, it would be unfair to compare it to the product page. But once you've built up the color, there's hardly any darkening. 💗 Lip moisture retention It keeps your lips surprisingly hydrated! The transfer feels water-like, with a hint of moisture, as if the oil is locking in the hydration. The moisturizing effect lasts impressively long. 💗 Does it look good even when applied hastily? Yes! Moisturizing formulas are generally easy to work with, and while this isn't as matte, the Ameli tint dispenses such a small amount that even a quick, careless application looks beautiful. 💗 Doesn't particularly favor warm or cool skin tones The initial application suits light skin tones, multiple layers work for deeper tones, and the color itself has a neutral quality that works for medium tones too. However, it leans slightly cool. I've never seen a tint where the opening gets dirty so easily. The automatic amount control is nice, but if you keep reinserting the applicator to get more product, the opening becomes a mess. I always wipe excess product with a tissue, but with other brands, it's just a precaution. With Ameli, it feels absolutely necessary to avoid a disaster. Also, the amount of product is surprisingly small. I've used it about 4 times, and I can already feel it's decreasing noticeably. If you're interested in a specific color, use a Chicor coupon to get the best deal. Alternatively, keep an eye out for Ameli's regular sales on their official site or set discounts. While you won't regret paying full price, it's always better to save a bit and maybe buy an extra one, right?
