I'm a sucker for that classic 'dad skin' scent. After one whiff of the Genesis scalp ampoule my dad used, I was hooked and switched all my hair products to the Genesis line. Last week, I chopped my waist-length hair to a medium bob. As usual, I applied this product just to my hair ends before going out. Surprisingly, I noticed hives appearing only where my hair touches my collarbone. Thinking back, when my hair was longer, my clothes probably shielded my skin, so I didn't notice. Timing-wise, I'm pretty sure this is the culprit. I'm usually super picky about ingredients, but now I'm torn about tossing it because the fragrance is just so divine. For context, I have healthy skin that rarely sees a blemish, maybe once or twice a year at most. The feel of the product itself is similar to typical hair mists. I've been using it more as a perfume, along with the Genesis shampoo, hair pack, scalp ampoule, and essence. I might try applying it only to the outer layers of my hair... - zz********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 29, 2023
It really gives your hair amazing volume and care. It's not sticky at all, and my hair feels stronger. The scent is a bit disappointing as it's not what I expected. However, it's not an unpleasant fragrance. I found it works best when sprayed from about 8 inches away, rather than too close. This ensures an even distribution. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedApr 7, 2023
First off, I love how convenient this spray-type treatment is. It's such a relief compared to the stress of sticky hands from applying regular treatments. The scent is lovely too! The price is the real issue here. It's just too expensive, and there are no discounts. It's hard to justify spending my own money on this, as much as I'd like to.
