There's barely any scent, allowing you to focus on your skin's natural state. It's definitely gentle without irritation and provides good hydration.
ConsWhile it offers hydration, it lacks richness. When I wake up, my skin feels slightly tight and dry.
TipSkin type: Combination dehydrated/Blemish-prone/Super sensitive skin. My skin gets no rest due to shift work, makeup, and mask-wearing. These are my observations from using this product alone.

I'm so glad I got the chance to try this ampoule! Its thick, mucus-like texture made me feel like it was packed with concentrated nutrients. Although I have oily skin, I'm currently taking medication that regulates sebum production, making my skin super sensitive to dryness lately. Amazingly, just applying this ampoule in the morning kept my skin hydrated all day, even after being out and about. Despite its rich consistency, it doesn't leave a sticky residue. The scent is practically nonexistent - just a hint of a liquid smell. I'm not sure if it's a Skin1004 trademark, but none of their products I've used have had any strange odors. This really boosts my confidence in the ingredients. As someone with extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin, I'm truly grateful that this didn't cause any adverse reactions.
ConsThis product focuses more on nourishment and rich moisturization rather than hydration, so those with very oily skin might find it a bit too heavy.
TipThis ampoule works great as a base - apply it first, then layer on some organic sunscreen before your makeup, and everything absorbs beautifully.

I've tried many other ampoules claiming to tackle deep dryness, but they always seemed to just sit on top of my skin without penetrating. This product, however, genuinely feels like it's addressing my dehydrated skin from within!
ConsThe texture is quite thick and heavy. Because of this, it's a bit difficult to dispense - I often have to pump it several times to get the product out. Like most hydrating products, it does leave a noticeable oily residue when applied. I had good experiences with the Madagascar ampoule before and wanted to use this consistently, but unfortunately, I've noticed a couple of blemishes popping up on my chin and forehead. I suspect it might be due to the rich formula.
TipInstead of applying a large amount at once, I'd recommend using small amounts in multiple layers. This layering technique might work better for you. Those with oily skin should be especially careful and patch test first, as it may cause blemishes.

Skin1004 products are already quite famous, so many of you probably know about them. I first bought their cleansing foam based on a YouTuber's recommendation, and it suited me so well that I've been loyal to their cleansing foam for two years now. I have very dry and sensitive skin prone to atopic dermatitis, so I'm extremely cautious when it comes to skincare products. Although I love this brand, this is actually my first time trying their basic skincare line! Now that I'm in my 30s, I find myself considering various aspects like hydration, skin soothing, and skin barrier care when choosing products. This Skin1004 ampoule contains ceramides, fatty acids, and cholesterol, which are effective for skin barrier care. The fact that it's from a cruelty-free brand made me trust it even more.
ConsOh, those with extremely dry skin might find this ampoule alone a bit insufficient for moisture. Since it's not very rich, you may need to use additional hydrating products!
TipIt's hydrating yet lightweight, making it perfect for everyday use. I've noticed that applying this ampoule before my moisturizer makes the hydration last much longer! It absorbs quickly, so you can apply it before makeup without any pilling or flaking. Layering it two or three times thinly helps your makeup adhere even better. I think this product could work well for all skin types! Both in terms of ingredients and overall performance, I'm personally very satisfied with this ampoule.

I applied it directly to my face without using my hands. After patting on some toner, I used half a dropper on each eye area and neck, spread it with my palms, then gently tapped it in. Unlike some serums that feel tacky even after absorption, this one feels fresh without any residue. Since it absorbs so well, I layered it twice. Pros 2. Goodbye to deep dryness. As winter approached, I've been using toner, serum, emulsion, cream, and oil in that order. I was considering buying another hydrating cream, but this solved my problem. My whole body is dry-skinned - without body lotion, my skin gets scaly, and my face breaks out. This product addresses those issues. Pros 3. One product is enough. This was important to me too. When traveling, working overtime, or pulling all-nighters, packing all your toiletries and skincare can be a burden. I was stuck at work for 3 days recently, and I just washed my face and applied this in the early mornings. Can you see the glow? I thought about bringing a cream too, but decided to test just bringing this, and it was fine. However, if you put your face directly in front of a heater, your skin will dry out completely. That's a big no-no. If you have cream or oil, layering the serum twice and then sealing it with oil prevented significant skin damage. Pros 4. Price Serums are usually expensive, right? But this one isn't a big burden if you buy it on sale. Though if you use it as liberally as I did, it can add up. I had to use a lot this time because I was at work for so long (used over half in 2 weeks, sob), but with normal use, it should last longer. And it's not a financial burden!
ConsCons 1. Can't use it all up The dropper format is hygienic and nice, but it's always disappointing that it's hard to use up every last drop. Cons 2. Expecting it to be rich too might be asking for too much, right? It definitely provides hydration, but for me, it's not enough on its own... As someone with dry skin, I feel more at ease when there's either oil or cream to help lock in the moisture.
Tip1. If you apply the serum generously and follow up with a sheet mask, your makeup will go on beautifully the next day. Maybe it's because of the Centella Asiatica extract, but I noticed my blemishes gradually improving. If Centella usually works well for you, try using this serum followed by a Houttuynia Cordata mask - you might wake up with porcelain-like skin the next day. 2. Layering is a must Rather than using just a small amount like you might with Lancôme's Advanced Génifique, I find it's better to layer this serum two or three times. If you use too little, it barely makes a difference on your face. But when you layer it, you can really see how it makes your skin noticeably more hydrated!

The paper case has a thoughtful message saying it's a gift for you, and the packaging was so neat that it made me happy when I received it. - I actually preferred that it was fragrance-free. It felt like they didn't add any unnecessary ingredients just for scent, which I appreciated. - The texture is very rich and opaque. I used it as a substitute for essence, and it worked well for my dry skin in this arid weather. I highly recommend it for those with dry skin. It might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. - You can tell they've put a lot of effort into the product. The dropper seems carefully designed, and the product appears to be made with good, gentle ingredients.
ConsMy skin lacks a lot of hydration, and this feels more oily than hydrating. I think it would work better if used together with a hydrating essence - especially for those with dry skin like me! Alternatively, you could use it with a hydrating moisturizer to boost the moisture levels.
TipAnother approach could be to layer your toner multiple times before applying the ampoule. This way, you can build up hydration with the toner first, and then seal it in with the ampoule for better results.
