I think retinol products suit me well, but as a beginner, I started with a lower concentration. Once I finish this, I'm considering trying a slightly higher concentration from the VT brand or another product. I didn't see dramatic effects on my skin. When I layered it a few times, I felt a slight tingling sensation. I couldn't find any specific reasons to not recommend it. I'm just using it for maintenance and looking forward to trying a higher concentration next time! I only apply retinol in the evening, and on days when I exfoliate, I avoid using it to prevent compromising my skin barrier. - v9********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 9, 2025
I bought this because I heard retinol is effective for wrinkles. Since I'm currently using VT Redleaf Shot 100 and 300, I thought this combination would work well, so I got my first retinol level 2 skincare product. I was worried it might not suit my skin, but it turned out to be perfect for me! Using retinol correctly is key. The pores have really shrunk, and it's helping with the wrinkles under my eyes and inner cheeks. Retinol is truly amazing! I highly recommend it. Don't use it together with products containing acidic ingredients like Vitamin C, AHA, or BHA. If you apply it in the morning, make sure to use sunscreen. Start with a small amount and gradually increase - don't use too much from the beginning. Avoid using it with scrubs, peeling products, or beauty devices that might cause irritation. - hd******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 8, 2025
▪️Professionally cares for pores, creating smooth and elastic skin! ▪️Absorbs well with a thin application, good absorption, and leaves skin feeling hydrated! ▪️It's a pump product with a milky, fluid consistency! ▪️Cannot be used with Vitamin C products, and beginners should start with a small amount and gradually increase usage!! ▪️Using it together with Cica Reti-A cream can be even more helpful for pore care - th***************Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 19, 2024
Skin type: Dry Age group: Early 30s Texture and application: It has a bouncy yet matte cream texture. It absorbs well into the skin without any stickiness or heavy feeling! Effects: I was worried it might be too drying, but it applied with a nice matte finish, and when I layered a moisturizer on top, my skin didn't feel dry at all. I'll need to use it longer to see if it actually minimizes pores! I'm satisfied that this is a retinol product that can be used in the morning too! Scent: It has a typical cosmetic fragrance. There wasn't anything particularly bad. It's great for worry-free use in summer! - ss*****Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 23, 2024
After finishing another brand's 0.1% retinol, I switched to this product, touted as 4th generation retinol. I applied it directly without an adjustment period. 1. My skin is very seasonal, but as it suddenly got hotter, my rough skin texture became more refined. 2. I have large pores only on one side of my butterfly zone, and I definitely feel them tightening. 3. Pump dispenser + opaque container. I've been using the other brand's 0.1% retinol for over half a year, but I'm satisfied to feel a noticeable change with this one. Nothing particularly bad so far. If I had to fill 20 characters, I'd say it's not exactly cheap. Apply knowing how to minimize potential side effects. - ik***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 13, 2024
Among retinol products, this one is great for easy, worry-free use. It's gentle, not too strong, and absorbs well into the skin. The volume seems too small. I used it up quickly - we need a larger size! - rh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 4, 2024
I love that it contains retinol, which is great for wrinkles and pore care. It's fantastic that one product can provide multiple benefits, including soothing the skin. The texture is so user-friendly that anyone can apply it without hesitation. When I put it on my skin, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky at all, which I'm really happy about! Well... if I really had to pick something, I suppose the amount feels slightly less than I'd like! - ka*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 23, 2023
This essence contains cica ingredients and the currently trendy retinol. With a 0.1% retinol concentration, it's higher than products from Innisfree or Primera, making it a bit intense for beginners. However, thanks to the soothing cica ingredients, it worked well even for my oily skin without causing major issues. I have large pores and oily skin, but I'm not particularly sensitive, so I find that retinol suits me well. Nevertheless, when I first used it, my skin felt a bit dry. Despite this, after use, my skin became soft and smooth, my skin texture improved, and my pores appeared less noticeable. Overall, I'm satisfied as I've really seen the benefits of retinol. Even for non-sensitive skin, daily use might lead to dryness and thinning of the skin. The retinol concentration is higher compared to other products, so it's crucial to carefully follow the usage instructions. Also, many people overlook that retinol is an ingredient that pregnant women and those trying to conceive should be cautious about! Even if it's considered a safe concentration, it's best for those planning pregnancy to avoid it. I recommend starting by mixing a tiny amount, about the size of a bean, with your moisturizer. If that feels comfortable, you can gradually increase the amount. - cr********Combination SkinRecommendedNov 19, 2023
While the packaging might seem budget-friendly, the product inside is anything but. It's excellent at combating deep dryness on parched days. The pump dispenser is also a nice touch. The packaging design could use some work... If I had to nitpick, I'd prefer the formula to be a bit more rich in texture. - he******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 10, 2023
Unlike Riddle Shot 100, this doesn't sting, so you can use it without any discomfort If you have sensitive skin, it's best to do a patch test first
