Even though I'm using the same skincare products from winter, my combination dehydrated skin, which is almost genetic, used to make even dry foundation break down. But when I use this sunscreen as a base, my makeup stays put.
ConsIf you apply too much sunscreen, it can pill. When you apply powder after foundation, you might notice a slight lifting effect.
TipAfter your skincare routine, apply the sunscreen along your skin's texture and allow it to absorb. Wait a few minutes before applying foundation or BB cream.

The finish feels powdery and matte, like you've dusted on some powder. It's great for wearing alone on quick outings. When used by itself, it seems to reduce oiliness, especially on the nose and forehead.
ConsNot recommended as a makeup base. Products applied over this tend to pill or emphasize dead skin cells. If you still want to use it as a base, I'd suggest using the smallest amount possible.

Contains gentle, non-irritating ingredients.
ConsNot ideal for dry skin as it becomes increasingly drying over time. Typical white cast from mineral sunscreens and potential for pilling if too much product is applied.

ConsIf you have dry skin, this might be too drying for you. When used under makeup, this sunscreen can cause pilling. I'd recommend using it on its own

Even with heavy base makeup, applying this alone left my skin feeling wonderfully matte.
ConsUnfortunately, the scent becomes a bit unpleasant after wearing it for a while. Also, it finishes too dry on the skin, causing pilling, visible dead skin cells, and a tight feeling on my face.

It helps reduce blemishes and cleanses my skin effectively.
ConsWhen I sweat, it tends to run off a lot. You have to be prepared for significant pilling and white cast...

I thought it was just the nature of sunscreens, but it got even worse in summer. When I was about to run out of my usual product, I came across this one. It's a sebum-controlling sunscreen recommended for oily skin, so I decided to give it a try. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it applies smoothly and feels gentle on the skin. The best part? It leaves almost no greasy feeling, which I'm thrilled about! Fortunately, it hasn't caused any blemishes either. I only bought one, but I think I'll keep using this product.
ConsWhen I apply this sunscreen after using a glutathione serum from another brand, it pills and turns yellow. Because of this, I have to use a different serum during the day when I need to wear sunscreen...

ConsIt pills easily, but worst of all, after using this, I experienced an explosion of folliculitis, small pimples, and skin inflammation. I had to take medication and struggled for weeks to recover. I hadn't changed anything significant in my skincare routine, cleansing, or lifestyle habits - just switched to this sunscreen. What's more, I applied it to my neck and even got blemishes there. I bought it because of the good ingredients and ratings, but it turns out some people like me just don't react well to it. That's disappointing.

Maybe it's because cosmetics are constantly improving these days, but among the mineral sunscreens I've tried, this one had the best absorption.
ConsIt's a given that with mineral sunscreens, you need a solid skincare base. I layer on plenty of hydration and then apply this sunscreen last. Since I often go to work without makeup, I always apply the recommended amount of sunscreen, forgoing the UV protection from foundation or cushion compacts. This means I end up with a lot of product on my bare face. By lunchtime or afternoon, it starts to pill, leaving what looks like powdery sunscreen residue on my face. I guess using a mineral sunscreen in winter was too ambitious. Either that or I'll have to give up using the full recommended amount.
TipI've sealed it away to use in summer.

This is the sunscreen I highly recommend for most men with excessive sebum production. Among sebum-controlling and mineral sunscreens, this one seems to manage oil production while causing minimal skin tightness. It's truly my top pick for sunscreen!
ConsThere are absolutely no downsides. Just remember, with mineral sunscreens, you need to apply small amounts multiple times. If you apply too much at once, it can pill and leave a white cast due to thick application!
TipDuring extremely cold winters, I sometimes mix a small amount of moisturizer with the sunscreen or blend it with a more hydrating sunscreen for better application.
