I fell in love with the Cellderma Daily Hyalu Essence Gel Face Mask, so I decided to splurge an extra 1000 won on their Brightening version. The hydration is fantastic. As someone with sensitive, oily skin, I think this mask followed by a cream would be perfect for winter skincare, even more so than in summer. I had high hopes when I bought this, given it's 1000 won pricier than the Hyalu Essence Gel. However, the brightening effect, which is plastered all over the packaging, is non-existent. While the Hyalu version left my skin feeling powdery-soft, this Milk variant felt heavy on my skin, as if there was an oily film left behind. My advice? Save your money and stick with the cheaper Hyalu version. Here's a pro tip: When opening the pack, cut it in a 'ㄷ' shape. This makes it easier to peel off the film and apply the mask to your face. - 01******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 5, 2024
It's similar to the chic mask sold at Olive Young and works well Not recommended for sensitive skin or those with blemishes due to potential irritation - sk*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 4, 2024
Great value for money and leaves your face feeling hydrated. While there's no dramatic brightening effect, it's perfect for everyday use. The hydrogel mask tends to dry out and curl up each time you remove the film, making it a bit tricky to smooth out again. Apply the side without the film directly to your skin. You can leave it on for 20-40 minutes. - cr**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 19, 2024
First off, the value for money is incredible. While I generally prefer sheet masks to gel masks, this one strikes a nice balance between affordability and how it feels on the skin. I bought it at Daiso without high expectations, but I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of ingredients. It's truly a bargain champion in terms of cost-effectiveness! The downside is that being a gel mask, you need to handle it with care. If you're not gentle, the mask can tear easily, which is a bit frustrating. - ti********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 21, 2023
1. Hydration The hydration is amazing! When you put it on your face, the ampoule inside doesn't just drip off, but you can scoop up plenty with your hands to apply on your arms and legs! The moisture fills in so gently, it's wonderful. I love how it replenishes without feeling heavy. 2. Price I was looking at gel masks from other brands, but the cheaper ones often contain PEG or PPG ingredients, and the others were too expensive. I'm so happy I could get this product at this price point. 3. Doesn't tear with fingernails I've seen reviews of other gel masks where people complain about them tearing easily with fingernails, but fortunately, this product was fine. Even though my nails are long right now, it didn't snag or tear when I was handling it. 1. It seems to be out of stock in many Daiso stores... That's really disappointing. 2. Applying the gel mask to the face is quite challenging. I guess I'm just not used to it yet. I've tried both types of 1000 won gel masks from Daiso before, but they were drying. This time, I applied skin ampoule before using this mask, and I didn't feel like it lacked hydration. However, since the ampoule inside the mask provided the level of hydration I wanted when applied to my legs, I wonder if I could have skipped applying additional ampoule beforehand. - hy********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 2, 2023
The sheet mask is consistent throughout. It's a gel mask that doesn't drip excessively, so I could sit comfortably while masking. The adherence is quite good. It doesn't feel sticky or leave a residue, allowing for a clean application. This makes it perfect for refreshing use even in summer. While it claims to have brightening effects, I couldn't notice any difference after a single use, but I didn't expect dramatic results from just one mask session anyway. Overall, it's a decent mask for occasional use. I bought several masks from this brand at Daiso, and although the products are different, the feel is quite similar across the range. It would have been better if each mask had a more distinct selling point!
