This review is based on a birthday gift I received - how thoughtful! I've been eyeing the Dear Dahlia blush for ages, and a friend so kindly remembered and gifted it to me. I'm here to share my thoughts! The Dear Dahlia Petal Drop Liquid Blush in Purity is a liquid blush that gives a fresh, innocent pink glow. With its moisturizing water-gel texture, it glides on smoothly and adheres to the skin like a second skin. Just gently patting it with your fingertips creates a subtle, healthy flush - perfect even for beginners! [Blush Pros❤️] 1️⃣ Clear, translucent watercolor-like pigmentation → A natural pink that seamlessly blends into the skin 2️⃣ Bouncy water-gel texture Applies moistly without stickiness, sets to a powder finish Clings to skin without caking, long-lasting wear 3️⃣ Vegan & gentle formula Clean ingredients safe for sensitive skin 4️⃣ Luxurious packaging Beautiful exterior + brand aesthetic, perfect for gifting 5️⃣ Versatile use Can be used for lips and eyes too (Create a tone-on-tone look with just one color!) [Blush Cons💙] 1️⃣ Those unfamiliar with liquid formulas might find it tricky to control the amount at first. 2️⃣ The price point is a bit high for everyday use. [Repurchase Intention (out of 5 stars)] ★★★★ It's beautiful, but I deducted one star due to the price. Still, the color is so pretty that I would consider repurchasing! 1️⃣ Those unfamiliar with liquid formulas might find it tricky to control the amount at first. 2️⃣ The price point is a bit high for everyday use. For first-time users, start by applying a small amount on the back of your hand and gently pat it with your finger. The color builds up subtly, so it's best to layer it gradually for a fresh, natural look. Although it's a liquid formula, it sets to a powder finish over time, resulting in minimal transfer to masks! (This makes it great for outdoor makeup too!) - sh*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 2, 2025
This liquid blush infuses your skin with a clear, vibrant glow as if the color is seeping into your complexion. Its lightweight and hydrating easy-blending formula spreads smoothly on the skin without clumping. I'm quite pleased that the color payoff isn't too intense. You can achieve a beautiful flush simply by gently patting it with your fingers - no additional tools needed! It contains ceramides, which are great for skin hydration, and Centella Asiatica extract known for its soothing properties. So you don't have to worry about any blemishes. There's nothing to complain about with this product. The color payoff and overall skin appearance are both beautiful. - yo*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 6, 2025
For a more accurate review, I applied my usual foundation to the inside of my arm before testing the color! Here's what I loved: ✅ Watercolor-like clear pigmentation! I absolutely adore the natural and clear color that can create that trendy, soft-focus makeup look everyone's after these days. It applies thinly while the color builds up subtly and beautifully. ✅ Natural application! The formula is smooth and lightweight, blending seamlessly into the skin. It glides on effortlessly without feeling heavy, and evens out your complexion in a way that looks completely natural. ✅ Silky texture: It absorbs into the skin without any heaviness, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. There's no stickiness or weight to it, so I find myself reaching for it often as part of my daily routine! ➖ Color payoff isn't very intense While the sheer color gives a natural look, you'll need to apply more if you're after a stronger pink hue. The product quantity isn't huge, so it might run out quicker than you'd like. ➖ Base makeup can pill When used with other products, I noticed the base can sometimes pill a bit. You need to be really careful when layering, so it requires a bit more attention during application. - oh******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 14, 2025
It has a light undertone~ I use this while looking for a lavender-colored blush. The color payoff isn't too intense, so it's not overpowering~ Since it's a light color, you need to layer it carefully, adjusting the amount - ch********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 14, 2025
If you're aiming for that dewy, glass skin look and wondering which blush to use, especially for cool-toned skin, look no further! This is your go-to product, no questions asked. It enhances that subtle glow while giving you an insanely beautiful color. Want a more intense look? Just layer it up a few times. The best part? Layering doesn't make it look muddy or cakey. Plus, the wide opening makes application a breeze. There's nothing to complain about. The wide opening and beautiful color make it absolutely perfect. - ji*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedFeb 13, 2025
This shade complements those with light undertones beautifully. It's versatile - you can apply it smoothly with your fingers or use a brush for a more polished look. The finish tends to be nicely moisturizing, leaving your skin feeling hydrated. Some might find the color payoff a bit subtle with just one application. However, don't worry - you can easily build up the coverage without it looking cakey or unnatural. - th*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
I've finally found my perfect light undertone blush! Even though I don't do matte foundation, powder blushes often made my cheeks look dull. This one, however, applies beautifully with a clear, fresh finish and doesn't leave any patchy areas. The price... the price... That's really the only downside. Everything else is fantastic. Please have sales more often! - hy******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJan 29, 2025
It's my first time using a liquid blush, and it applies so naturally and smoothly I broke out and got blemishes all over my face. Those with sensitive skin should probably avoid this product after checking the ingredients - se*****Combination SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedDec 15, 2024
A little goes a long way with this product! The color payoff is so good that I can just apply this and some base makeup when I'm heading out. It's easy to control the amount, and I can quickly apply it on the go. So convenient! Be careful not to apply too much, as the color can become quite intense. I'd recommend tapping off the excess on the rim of the container before using it. - ha*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 9, 2024
Looks completely natural, feels moisturizing, and absorbs beautifully. Thumbs up! The staying power is a bit weak, and the color is quite sheer, so you might need to apply multiple layers. Also, it's quite pricey for the small amount you get. That's why I waited for a sale to buy it. Unfortunately, the color doesn't show up well on camera. When you use a puff to blend it in, it looks incredibly natural.
