Overall impression - The scent is absolutely delightful, but it's quite expensive. The fragrance is incredibly sophisticated and captivating. It's the kind of scent you might imagine on an intelligent career woman. After showering, I can't help but keep sniffing myself. Fortunately, my naturally resilient skin didn't break out in hives. I only realized the ingredients weren't great when I came to write this review. - 95*****Combination SkinJan 3, 2023
The fragrance lasts all day long. It seems no other product can match this one when it comes to scent. Whew, I just discovered I have an allergy for the first time. My skin used to be fine with everything, but after using this, I broke out in a rash. Now the area below my chest and the creases of my arms are bumpy like chicken pox, itchy, and in total chaos. - de*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJul 5, 2021
I only knew Sabon for their famous body scrubs, but when they opened stores in Korea, I decided to try a few products as gifts. The store gave me a sample of the Patchouli Lavender Vanilla shower oil, and I fell head over heels for its intense fragrance. I immediately bought the full-size 500ml bottle and have been using it since. At first, I was worried that a shower 'oil' might leave an oily residue, but the store staff explained it feels like a regular body wash with better hydration. And that's exactly how it feels when I use it. There's no oily sensation at all, but after rinsing, my skin feels soft instead of tight and squeaky clean. Best of all, the scent lasts incredibly long. I've tried countless body products known for their fragrances, from budget to high-end, but Sabon seems unbeatable when it comes to lingering scent. That's why, even though it's a bit pricey, I want to stick with their body wash from now on. I bought this because I was blown away by the intense Patchouli Lavender Vanilla scent when I first smelled it... but it's a fragrance that might be polarizing. My husband didn't like it from the start. After using it a few times, I noticed something familiar about the scent - it reminds me of liquid mosquito repellent! The hand cream has an even stronger resemblance, so keep that in mind. This shower oil alone leaves a long-lasting scent on your body, almost like a light cologne. If you use the matching body jelly (emulsion?) or scrub from the same line, you probably won't need to wear perfume separately. The shower oil comes in two sizes: 300ml in a plastic container and 500ml in a glass bottle. When buying the 500ml, make sure to check if it comes with a complimentary pump. - xo*******Oily SkinAcne SkinJan 19, 2021
I've heard that Sabon shower oil is quite popular. It's said to have great moisturizing effects for dry skin due to its added oils. When I first used it, I couldn't quite put my finger on the scent, but it had a neutral feel with an impressively deep fragrance that surprised me. Even after my shower, when I applied a floral-scented body oil from another brand, the Sabon shower oil's aroma lingered persistently. It seems like an excellent product that allows you to experience both a rich fragrance and deep hydration. It's quite disappointing that there are so many ingredients. If only the ingredient list was better, it would be nearly perfect. - rj****Normal SkinMar 31, 2018
The fragrance is nice, it suits my taste well~ I'm still using it. There were no troubles, but the ingredients are quite disappointing. - da******Normal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 26, 2018
The containers and colors are stunningly beautiful, but they are only meant for decorating the bathroom. Don't be swayed by the pretty packaging and fragrance. The ingredients are xx. During the unreconciled era, I bought and used it in Japan, and I thought I was going to die from the hives that broke out all over my body. Even though it was a waste, I tried washing just my hands and feet, but each time, a single hive would appear on my thighs. - Hwahae UserDry SkinApr 12, 2017
The packaging is pretty and the amount is sufficient, so it should last me for a while. I thought there were no harmful ingredients, but after checking, I found that they are included. - ha******Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsJul 3, 2016
Wow, the scent is amazing... When I went on a trip, I bought a body scrub at the store and got a small sample to try. Personally, I don't like overly sweet scents, but this one is just incredible. It's sweet, but not overwhelmingly so or headache-inducing. It's indescribably wonderful. I tried to use it sparingly, but eventually I had to order a full-size one through a purchasing agent on Coupang! I used the sample in the winter, and now it's summer, so maybe that's why it doesn't seem quite as good as before. But still, I feel so good every time I use it in the shower. My upper body skin is quite sensitive, and I often get breakouts and even scarring if I use the wrong shower products (I had the worst breakouts and scarring after using a Saborino shower gel). But with this product, my skin actually calms down after using it. Using a Thalasso glove to gently exfoliate, combined with this product, is the perfect combo! And the pump on this product feels so satisfying to use - it has this nice, thick 'click' every time you press it. I just can't stop pressing it! Since it's summer, the vanilla scent does feel a bit less pleasant. And this is a product with a very polarizing scent - if you don't like sweet or vanilla scents, you'll definitely want to check the fragrance carefully before purchasing. This product is also not widely available in Korea, and it's hard to find even in other countries, so it can be difficult to get. And it's quite pricey as well. While it's marketed as being free of surfactants, the fragrance ingredients are still quite prominent.
