I'm currently using four Marie & May products, starting with their Rose Hyaluronic Acid Mask. Let's talk about their Blackberry Mask, which has become my absolute favorite. I'm on my second jar now! I should have written this review earlier, but as it's my first one, I felt a bit overwhelmed. This product is a wash-off clay mask designed for dry or sensitive skin that leans towards dryness. It might be too nourishing for those with oily skin - I'd recommend the Tea Tree Soothing or Lemon Niacinamide Vitamin masks for them instead. Now, let's dive into the details: 1. It's a clay mask using French green and pink clay from the Auvergne volcanic region. It's great for pore cleansing, which is essential even for dry skin types like mine. I use it once a week and it's perfect for those times when I notice my pores looking stretched out in the morning. 2. While the product claims to have antioxidant effects due to its 6000ppm of blackberry extract, I can't say I've noticed this specifically. However, I do love the tiny blackberry powder particles visible in the formula. They provide a very gentle exfoliation. 3. Pro tip: After the mask dries, don't just rinse it off with water. Apply a cleansing milk, massage it in with 2-3 circular motions, then rinse. This enhances the exfoliation effect. 4. Another great point: While the Rose mask left my skin feeling hydrated and glowing, this Blackberry mask makes my skin feel healthy, with improved texture and elasticity. That's what I love most about it! 5. A few downsides: - It can be a bit of a hassle to use, especially in winter. - It might feel drying as it sets, but you can mix in some serum or cream if needed. - It can be tricky to wash off, but using a cleansing milk, balm, or oil makes it much easier. 6. While you can buy Marie & May products on Hwahae, they're often much cheaper on Naver Store, with frequent sales. Shop wisely! Overall, this mask has become a staple in my skincare routine for its pore-cleansing and skin-improving effects. There aren't any major drawbacks. The only slight inconvenience is during cleansing, but using a cleansing milk/oil/balm and massaging it in actually enhances the exfoliation effect.
