Given the heavy consistency, controlling the amount is crucial. It's absolutely essential to regulate the product on the brush to minimize smudging and drooping. I'd recommend applying it lightly in two layers.

Personally, I'm satisfied with the lengthening effect but have to accept the smudging as a trade-off. For those with combination to oily skin and monolids, I'd suggest using this for short outings rather than as a daily mascara. It might not be the best for all-day wear in those cases.

The formula feels quite thick and heavy when applied, which caused my lashes to droop rather than add volume, especially on my monolids with naturally less lash strength. As time passes, there's a slight sagging effect. Being someone with monolids, I might be more sensitive to this issue.

And yes, there is smudging. I hate to say it, but it's there.
Even when used with a fixer, I occasionally ended up with panda eyes by evening. I wouldn't recommend this for those with oily under-eye areas or if you're in humid environments where your mask creates moisture.

I was worried the intense black might be too much, but it lengthens my lashes so naturally - I was amazed! And don't even get me started on the staying power... it's just incredible. As a student, I leave at 8 AM and get home around 5 PM, and throughout that time, there's no smudging, and the curl holds perfectly!
