Winter essential! In winter, skin easily becomes dry, but this cushion is so moisturizing that there's no flaking of dead skin cells at all. That's why I always reach for this as soon as winter arrives. It's perfect for daily use, giving a smooth skin finish even on dry days. Natural coverage + Beautiful wear-off While the coverage isn't too thick, it naturally evens out blemishes and skin tone. It also wears off beautifully, so you don't need to touch up often. Just a light pat around the mouth after eating and you're done! Shade 20 is a perfect match My skin has a yellow undertone and is about a light 21 shade, but shade 20 blends in beautifully without looking dull. It makes my complexion look bright and healthy, not sallow at all. Satisfied with both application & feel It's not irritating and goes on comfortably, with good absorption that spreads evenly without clumping. It adheres well to the skin with a hydrated feel, hardly any patchiness! Since it's a moisturizing type, hair tends to stick to your face easily. So after applying, you definitely need to finish with powder for a neater look. In summer, the rich texture can feel a bit heavy, so I don't reach for it as often. Especially for oily skin or in hot weather, it can feel stuffy, so I tend to avoid using it. However, when the dry season comes around, I always come back to this true staple - I just can't give it up completely! The coverage is slightly on the lighter side, so for areas that need more coverage like blemishes or redness, first dab on some concealer, then apply a thin layer of cushion over it for a much cleaner and prettier skin finish! As someone with combination skin in summer and extremely dry skin in winter, I tried this cushion last winter and wow... I love the semi-glow finish! It's not overly dewy, which is perfect. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I'm satisfied that it doesn't leave me feeling too dry or greasy. Given its glowy formula, it doesn't last quite as long as matte foundations. If your skincare base isn't solid, you might notice some pilling or separation. After consistently using Clio cushions, I tried Espoir for the first time and I'm absolutely thrilled! I've always been a fan of Espoir foundations, so I decided to try their cushion too, and I'm impressed by how it creates a natural and beautiful glow! The 21 Ivory shade has a slightly warm undertone that brightens up my face. It applies thinly while still evening out my skin texture, making it perfect for everyday use. Even on my dry skin, it adheres well without any patchiness, so I can wear it comfortably without experiencing any deep dryness! The longevity isn't exceptionally long, so when used alone, it can start to break down a bit. There was some transfer when wearing a mask, but when used with a setting spray, the adherence improves significantly and it lasts much longer. Overall, I'm using it without any major issues! I actually apply setting spray before using the cushion! My routine goes: toner → sunscreen → setting spray → cushion. This order helps prevent the foundation from looking cakey and allows the cushion to adhere much better. Spraying the setting spray first slightly fixes the skin surface, preventing the cushion from sliding and ensuring a beautiful, even application! Following the same order for touch-ups helps maintain flawless-looking skin all day long.
