I've tried cleansing oils and other methods to manage blackheads, but they often left my skin feeling tingly or dry. So I bought this product, and I'm impressed! After applying and waiting a bit, when I rinse it off, I can feel tiny particles - not sure if it's sebum or something else - but my skin definitely feels cleaner. It works wonders for my complexion! The jar packaging can be a bit inconvenient. Without a spatula, you have to use your fingers, which can lead to product getting stuck under your nails. It's a minor annoyance. When rinsing it off, I like to dampen my hands slightly and gently massage the product before washing it away completely. I find this method helps remove it more effectively and seems to be less irritating to my skin. - ha**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 10, 2025
• Texture It has a mud-like consistency, Glides on smoothly and absorbs well • Ingredients Pleased that it doesn't contain any harmful components • Hydration Skin feels moisturized after use • Exfoliation Skin feels softer after application There's nothing particularly disappointing, But due to its gentle formula, It doesn't feel like it removes all the sebum I apply it to my skin before showering, After finishing other tasks, I wet it once with water, Gently massage it in, then cleanse my face - je******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 8, 2025
Caution: Photo may be revealing*** The Galaxy camera's quality is almost too good... ㅠㅠ Even though it's my own skin, it's a bit... It spreads smoothly. The texture is nice. While applying, there's a pleasant warming sensation that feels just right. There's hardly any fragrance, which makes it comfortable to use. As for the most important aspect - its pore cleansing effect... While not dramatic, it seems to absorb smaller blemishes to some extent... especially recent ones? On its own, it's hard to tell, but I think it could be helpful if used consistently along with other skincare routines. For large pores, even with rolling, there's not much noticeable change. Well... how could it extract massive pores just through absorption? Sigh... I've heard that with clay formulas like this, it's not good for your skin to apply them thinly and let them dry completely. In the past, I used to apply just a little and leave it on for a long time to save product... haha I applied a thick layer using a spatula, waited 5-10 minutes, then rolled it on my nose area while washing my face. I couldn't do it on other areas for fear of irritation. - re******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 8, 2025
Great for managing pores and excess oil, and its cooling effect helps reduce skin heat - perfect for hot summer days! The quantity is surprisingly generous, so it lasts a long time. It takes a while to rinse off completely, which can be a bit of a hassle. After use, my skin feels extremely dry and tight, so I avoid reaching for it in winter. This product seems to be a deep cleansing or clay mask that's effective for oily, acne-prone skin types. It's particularly beneficial during summer when skin tends to be oilier and more prone to blemishes. However, its intense cleansing action might be too harsh for dry or sensitive skin, especially in colder months. Remember to follow up with a hydrating moisturizer to combat the drying effects! - 26******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedJun 7, 2025
When I was younger, I had oily skin and couldn't stand the stickiness, especially in summer. I bought so many tubs of Innisfree's Volcanic Clay Mask - I must have gone through at least ten of them! But now my skin has become super dry, so I've stopped using these gritty clay masks. I'm still working through this small sample, using it sparingly to make it last. These days, I can't use it all over my face anymore, just on my chin area. If you're like me with dry skin overall but oily patches here and there, try applying it only on those specific areas. There are many types of clay masks from different brands, so each person might find a different one that works best for their skin. As our skin changes over time, it's important to adapt our skincare routine. What once worked wonders might not be suitable anymore. For combination dehydrated skin types, targeted application of clay masks can help balance oil production without over-drying the rest of the face. Remember to always follow up with hydration to maintain your skin's moisture balance. - mi******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 7, 2025
Innisfree has been synonymous with their volcanic line... I've been using this product since those famous days. It's a reliable pore clay mask. I feel like it would suit most people well. The texture isn't hard and spreads easily. However, you might find it a bit unhygienic to scoop out with your fingers, especially if you use it multiple times. The volume is a bit small. That's the downside. Also, don't expect dramatic results. I recommend using it more for maintenance rather than setting high expectations. This mask works hard to cleanse pores and absorb excess oil, but it's not a miracle worker. It's great for those with combination dehydrated skin looking for a gentle yet effective cleansing mask. While it may not provide an instant "Inner Glow," it does help in managing blemishes and evening out your complexion over time. Remember to follow up with a good hydration routine to balance your skin's oil and moisture levels after using this clay mask. - py******Oily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 1, 2025
Skin type and focus areas: Combination dehydrated skin with enlarged pores, excess sebum, and redness Perfect for use after extracting excess sebum from the nose area to soothe the skin! Quantity: Though the container looks small, you can actually use it quite generously. Texture and application: The mask has few, small particles, allowing for smooth application without clumping. It spreads evenly on the skin. Even when it dries, there's no intense tightening sensation. Instead, it cools down the skin and provides a refreshing temperature. Results: Using this mask definitely keeps the skin cool and refreshed for a long time, making it great for summer. It also reduces oiliness and sebum production for several days. After use, it's challenging to wash off completely. It's particularly difficult to remove from pores and around the nose area. Using a cleansing brush while washing your face helps remove the mask more effectively. - di************Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 16, 2025
For the past 3 months, I have been using the Hwahae Volcanic Ash Pore Mask Pack consistently. Personally, I felt that the mask pack had a slightly thick or sticky texture when applied. After applying it to my entire face and leaving it on for about 5 minutes, then rinsing it off with lukewarm water, I felt that my pores had significantly reduced, especially around my nose and cheeks. I believe this product would be great for those with combination or oily skin types that are prone to enlarged pores and blackheads. Well, I don't think there were any disappointing aspects. And if I had to say something, it would be the fragrance... ? There may be individual differences, but in my opinion, the fragrance seemed to have a rather artificial scent. - sc********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 9, 2025
Even though I have super sensitive skin, this product doesn't cause any adverse reactions. I had switched to other products when this was discontinued, but I'm glad to be back using it again. I wish there was more product in the container. Other than that, I have no complaints. - ne*****Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 3, 2025
The Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask is fantastic for exfoliating dead skin cells and managing pores! As a wash-off type, it's excellent for deep-cleansing pores. Known as one of Innisfree's best products, it's gentle enough for my super sensitive skin. The thick texture provides a cooling effect when applied, and the tiny particles act as a scrub when washing off, helping to remove dead skin cells and even out skin texture. Despite being a clay mask, its smooth consistency makes it easy to apply with just your fingers, no brush needed. Unlike other clay masks that can feel extremely tight as they dry, this one doesn't overly constrict, making it more comfortable and less irritating to use. It would be more convenient if it came in a tube with an easy-cap dispenser. If applied too thinly, the mask dries out quickly, making it a bit challenging to wash off. I found applying a thicker layer and then cleansing resulted in much less irritation.
