  The skin type is combination. The formula is water-based, so it's great for cleansing and toning. After applying it generously on a cotton pad, I use it to soothe my skin while smoothing it out. It's so moisturizing when I just use it as a toner!

  Cons

  So far, I have no complaints about using this product!

  Using 5-ply cotton, apply it to your face like a pack, then dry your hair! It's great!

  The product is called an emulsion, but its texture is like an essence, making it a unique liquid-type emulsion! ✔️ Non-irritating, suitable for sensitive skin ✔️ Essence-like texture works well as both a toner and an essence ✔ Cica not only soothes but also improves skin condition ✔️ Hydrating, making it great for winter use Since it's not a water-based formula, rather than using it as an exfoliating toner or for toner masking, it's more suitable as an absorbing toner where you apply a certain amount to your palms and let it absorb into the skin.

  There aren't any significant drawbacks, except that due to the container design and its essence-like texture, it might accumulate around the opening.

  Tip

  I found it worked great when used with the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Intensive Cream from the same line! For the application order, try this: Apply and absorb the Treatment Emulsion - Then apply a thin layer of Intensive Cream Follow up with another layer of the Treatment Emulsion I noticed a synergistic effect when using them together, compared to using either the Treatment Emulsion or Intensive Cream alone.

  I love how it provides hydration without feeling sticky. It's great for calming the skin too. The best part is how well it preps my skin for makeup, smoothing out any texture. Even my dad uses it and says it's gentle on his skin!

  Cons

  I wish I could slather it on generously, but the price is the only thing holding me back. Please release a larger size!

  Try layering it three times before applying makeup by patting it into your hands. It makes your skin feel firm and helps your makeup adhere better.   Pros

  I was looking for a cica line toner and chose this product for its generous volume and reliability. Compared to other Korean toners I've used before, this one felt moisturizing yet refreshing, which seemed to contribute to its excellent soothing effect. But here's the surprising part - when I applied it with a thin cotton pad after my morning shower, it was as if my deep dryness had been resolved. My makeup base went on so smoothly! (I don't use BB cream, foundation, or cushions - just a light sunscreen for evening out my complexion.) I didn't even realize I had been dealing with dehydrated skin until this product's effectiveness revealed the issue. After finishing the whole bottle, I went to Olive Young only to find it had been discontinued. Still, I'm thrilled to have found a Korean toner - or rather, emulsion - that I want to stick with.

  Cons

  The original toner was about 250ml, but when they changed the name to emulsion and renewed it, it shrunk to 150ml. That's really disappointing!

  Tip

  Try using it as a hydrating soothing mask by applying it with a cotton pad. The results are fantastic!
