My mom and I kept it on our vanity and used it together, and it had a satisfactory application for both dry and combination skin types. The Hwahae sunscreen seems to be made with relatively mild ingredients, as there was no eye irritation or skin irritation whatsoever. I always buy sunscreens with an SPF of 50 or higher, and this one met that requirement, which was great. I usually apply a tone-up sunscreen when I go out briefly, like during exam periods, and this Hwahae sunscreen seems much more suitable for daily use, especially in the winter!! The packaging design may not be very appealing, but I actually liked that it had a more Korean (?) aesthetic and didn't seem to have excessive spending on the packaging, focusing more on the ingredients, which I thought was nice.
ConsThere was a bit of oil, so it had a smooth and creamy application, but I think the oiliness will increase in the summer. Based on my combination skin type, the finish wasn't extremely fresh, but it wasn't bad either.

It was surprising and intriguing to see the zinc component so prominently featured, and I was curious whether the spreadability would still be good. However, the spreadability is really nice. There is a slightly thick application feel, but it spreads well without any clumping. There was also no pilling or clumping when layering the product. The product provides about a half-tone brightening effect. With some tone-up sunscreens, the color can darken over time as if dissolving in oil, but this product maintains the same color when applied and going out, which I liked. The white cast is not excessive, so it works well for evening out the skin tone after makeup application. The product is gentle. I didn't experience any irritation on my face over time. The product has a slight natural scent, but there is no artificial fragrance, which I appreciated. The lack of fragrance made it comfortable to use.
ConsThe short expiration date is a bit disappointing. I tend to like using a variety of products together, and since this is a product only for the face, it feels a bit short-lived. There is a slight oiliness to it. The good spreadability is likely due to this oiliness, but for those with oily skin, it may feel a bit greasy.
TipZinc oxide is the main ingredient, so it's best to double cleanse.

It applies smoothly and has a slightly oily texture, which is nice. I was surprised that it spreads so moisturizing yet has UV protection. The fragrance-free aspect is great. The Hwahae ingredients are wonderful, I'm satisfied. After applying and patting it in, it absorbs well and leaves a nice glow. I'm not a huge fan of the glow, but the natural brightening effect is nice. There's no heavy white cast, just a light tone-up, so I was able to go out with just this sunscreen.
ConsAs I have oily skin, even after applying a good base and sunscreen, I end up looking very shiny and greasy when I'm in a space with the heater on for a long time. It's quite disappointing to feel the excess sebum. It may not be ideal for those with oily skin.
TipApplying makeup over the Hwahae can sometimes be a bit disappointing, as it doesn't provide full sun protection. However, it's great for going out with a solid skincare routine, sunscreen, and a foundation-free look.
