It's a total skincare crisis. I applied for The Hwahae Testers because this sunscreen has the gentlest ingredient list and contains houttuynia cordata and centella asiatica, which are great for acne-prone skin. I'll compare it to the G* mineral sunscreen I've been using. This review is based on alternating between the two products from the day I received the package until now. First, understand that 'moisturizing' in mineral sunscreens often means it's relatively rich. Hydration: G* <= Sidmool. Rich feel: G* < Sidmool. Absorbs: G* <= Sidmool. During use, neither product caused acne due to incompatibility, just the typical blemishes from dryness during the seasonal change, given my combination dehydrated skin.
ConsThe Sidmool product feels richer than G*, so if you normally need to layer your moisturizer twice, you might only need one layer with this. However, by afternoon, sebum production increases accordingly. For acne-prone, combination dehydrated skin, it's good for seasonal changes and winter, but I wouldn't recommend it for rainy days or summer. When I used it on a rainy day, my skin became extremely oily.

My mom and I shared it on our vanity, and it had a satisfying texture for both dry and combination skin types. Sidmool is known for its mild ingredients, which might explain why there was no eye irritation or skin sensitivity at all. I always buy sunscreens with SPF 50+ or higher, so I was pleased that this one met that criteria. I usually apply brightening moisturizer with SPF when I'm studying for exams or just popping out for a bit, but this seems much more suitable for daily use, especially in winter! While the packaging design isn't particularly eye-catching, I actually found it somewhat traditionally Korean(?). It gives the impression that they focused on the ingredients rather than spending money on fancy packaging to inflate the price, which I appreciate.
ConsThere's a slight richness to it, which contributes to the smooth application, but it might feel a bit heavy in summer. For combination skin, the finish wasn't super light and fresh.

I was intrigued by the high zinc content, which is uncommon in skincare products. I wondered if it would affect the application, but it absorbs wonderfully. It feels slightly thick when applying, but spreads evenly without any clumping. Even when reapplying, there's no pilling or uneven patches. * Provides a subtle brightening effect. Unlike some brightening moisturizers that darken over time due to oil, this one maintains its initial color throughout wear. It's perfect for evening out your complexion without looking overly white or chalky. The subtle brightening effect makes it great for neck application after makeup to match your face tone. * Gentle on the skin. I love that it doesn't cause any itching, even after extended wear. * Has a mild, natural scent. I appreciate the absence of artificial fragrances, making it comfortable to use regularly.
ConsThe short shelf life is a bit disappointing. As someone who likes to use multiple products simultaneously, and considering this is for facial use only, it feels like it expires rather quickly. There's a slight rich feeling to it. While this contributes to its smooth application, those with oily skin might find it a bit too emollient.
TipSince zinc oxide is the main ingredient, it's important to double cleanse when removing this product.

It applies smoothly, which is great, but has a slightly oily texture. I was surprised how well it spreads considering it's a mineral sunscreen. Scent: Even better that it's fragrance-free. Ingredients: It's Sidmool, need I say more? I'm satisfied. Application: After applying and patting it in, it absorbs better than expected and leaves a glow. While I'm not a fan of shine... I do like how it naturally brightens the skin. The white cast isn't severe, it's more of a brightening effect, so I went out wearing just this sunscreen.
ConsAs I have combination dehydrated skin... Even after applying a good base and this sunscreen, when I'm in a heated room for a long time, my skin gets very shiny and oily. It's disappointing how greasy it feels. This might not be ideal for those with oily skin. Probably due to lack of hydration and excess oil... I'm breaking out. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use this well in summer and winter when the heater is on.
TipWhen applying makeup over it, it can be a bit disappointing at times due to its mineral sunscreen nature. It's great for going out with just a solid skincare routine and this sunscreen, skipping foundation.
