It doesn't feel sticky or heavy, just has a typical ampoule scent. The texture is somewhat bouncy? I've heard retinol is good for the skin, even if it causes tingling and redness, but after trying a few times, I found myself not reaching for it. However, this product, which I bought after researching online and reading reviews, was less irritating to my skin, which I really appreciated. It didn't cause any skin reactions or blemishes. While it's pricey, I noticed all retinol products tend to be expensive. Among them, I think this one offers the best value for money! The amount is quite small. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied because the packaging is user-friendly. I recommend applying it only in the evening, every 2-3 days. This way, even those with super sensitive skin can gradually adapt to it. It's especially suitable for retinol beginners and those with sensitive skin. - dk******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 3, 2025
We all know retinol is a skincare superstar, right? I keep buying retinol products because I've heard such great things, but here's the catch: If I get too eager and use it daily or apply a bit too much, my skin behaves for a day or two, then suddenly rebels! While retinol is fantastic, overusing it and upsetting your skin can be worse than not using it at all. That's why I went on a hunt for a gentler retinol option. Enter Bota Retinol - my new find! First off, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I love how gentle it is on my skin. They even included a sample, so even though I bought it a while ago, I haven't cracked open the full-size product yet... haha! ₩Gentle on skin ₩Beautiful packaging ₩Absorbs well and has a great texture Even though it's marketed as gentle, I noticed some irritation when I used it daily. With retinol, it seems the key is to be patient and use it sparingly. Apply as the first step after cleansing - dn*********Dehydrated SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 30, 2025
The packaging is comfortable to use. It's moisturizing and easy to apply. A solid, no-frills option for those new to retinol products. I can't really pinpoint any drawbacks, but at the same time, I'm not sure what stands out as particularly good either. - t8********RecommendedMay 2, 2025
I haven't used it much yet, but the reviews are great, so I'm going to trust them and keep using it consistently! The price is a bit on the higher side, I must admit. - or*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 4, 2025
This cream has a very light lemon tint and applies incredibly smoothly. I bought it based on recommendations that its low concentration of retinol derivatives makes it ideal for those new to retinoid products. Despite already using medium to high-strength retinol products, I'm surprisingly satisfied with this one. Personally, I use low-strength retinol products frequently and medium to high-strength ones every few days. While the stronger products visibly improve skin texture overnight, this one seems to gradually enhance skin elasticity with consistent use. Rather than an immediate improvement in texture, it gives a subtle but noticeable lift to the skin over time. Enprani's patented technology claims to boost collagen synthesis 8 times more than other retinoids. While I wondered if this might be a placebo effect, I definitely notice my skin improving with regular use. It's a great option for retinol beginners or as a gentle, daily low-strength retinol product. Considering how retinol product prices have dropped recently, this seems a bit pricey for a low-strength retinol cream. - me*********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 7, 2025
Skin type: Combination, concerns with hydration & blemishes Formula: Easy to apply. Great balance of moisture and oil. Packaging: The container retracts when twisted, making it perfect for travel. Gentle: No irritation from day one. Scent: Pleasant fragrance without artificial perfumes. While the travel-friendly container and sample set are nice, the excessive number of samples is a bit disappointing from an eco-friendly perspective. It would be better to increase the main product volume and reduce the samples to one 15ml size. I don't use cotton pads so I could do without them, but for those who do, they'd be handy for travel, right? There are cotton pads at the bottom when you remove the insert in the container! Don't throw them away by mistake. - ju**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 8, 2025
Highly recommend this retinol serum! I switched from Innisfree's Cica-tinol. It's gentle, great for those pesky little blemishes, and an absolute must-have serum! Even my husband, who never uses serums, finds it gentle enough to use. No downsides to mention~ Though I wouldn't mind if they came out with a higher-strength version. It's truly gentle, so I recommend it for those with super sensitive skin who still want to take care of their anti-aging routine. - md******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
The pump-and-twist mechanism is ingenious - twist to pump, reverse to close. It's a perfect 10 for hygiene! I'm only using it in my evening routine, and so far, no blemishes have appeared. My dry skin still needs a cream on top, as this alone isn't quite enough. But I can't help feeling like my skin is improving - though that might just be my imagination! The price is downright wicked, making a repurchase... well, let's just say I'll have to think long and hard about it. The scent is a bit funky and not really my cup of tea. However, I do feel like my skin is gradually improving, so I'm determined to diligently apply this until I've used up every last drop in this bottle. - ln*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 29, 2024
I love how smoothly it applies and seems to absorb well into the skin! The unconventional container opening mechanism took some getting used to, and I often left it open. It took a while to adapt to it. - vz***Dry SkinInner DrynessDec 17, 2024
It's a gentle white emulsion formula with a hygienic design - the opening rises when you twist the cap and body, allowing for easy pumping. The product absorbs well into the skin, feeling smooth on application. While most of the ingredients are good, there's one potentially risky component that gives me pause. It also contains dimethicone. I wish they would improve the formulation.
