It gives a radiant look and the color payoff is absolutely gorgeous! It applies with a moisturizing feel, so those with a lot of dead skin cells will likely be very satisfied. It might be a bit bright for those with deep undertones, but it's the perfect shade for those with deeper skin tones. The staying power isn't bad, and I think it would look truly beautiful on people with fair skin. It has a light orange tone, so those who dislike orange lips might want to avoid this one. - am*******Dry SkinRecommendedApr 10, 2024
It's a beautiful warm coral-orange shade. The name 'Ripe Persimmon' suits it perfectly. The glossy finish is absolutely stunning. The stick format makes it a bit inconvenient to use. To achieve the color intensity shown in official swatches, you need to apply quite a few layers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 9, 2024
It makes your lips feel plump and glossy, like they've been coated in glass. I can see why people call it the 'candied fruit lip'. It's quite shiny... and stays on your lips exactly as you applied it. Also, the color doesn't come out as vibrant as it appears in the container. It's just about the same as applying a regular tinted lip balm. - yu********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2023
When I first tried this product, I was amazed at how beautiful the color payoff was! The glossy finish on my lips is so pretty that I find myself reaching for this product more and more these days. Since you have to apply it with your fingers, it can be a bit tricky. However, if you buy a lip pencil to use with it, that should eliminate any difficulty. - 50***Oily SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2023
It layers well with other lip products. The glossy finish is truly beautiful and feels comfortable on the lips! It's not sticky at all. It's lighter than other lip glosses (Hongsi Balm > Rom&nd Melting Balm > Nature Honey Melting >>> Hera Spicy Gloss). Rather than the intense, firm hydration of Rom&nd or Nature Republic, it gives more of a glossy, subtle moisturizing feel. Personally, I used Rom&nd and Nature Republic for their strong tinting effect when eating or when my lips were dry, while I used this product over tints when I needed some shine. I'm quite satisfied with it and would consider repurchasing. I felt that Hongsi Balm had better color payoff than Apple Balm. It looks best when applied with a brush, which makes it inconvenient to carry around. Also, hair tends to stick to it. It seems difficult to carry during summer. - o0***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 20, 2023
1. Perfect shade for those with a deep undertone! While Romand's Cotton Melba and Cha Cha tint used to be my go-tos, Cha Cha didn't suit me after I cooled down my hair color. I was worried Hongsi Balm wouldn't work either, but it looks great with both brown and toned-down hair! 2. Excellent hydration: As someone with extremely dry lips who usually needs to apply Vaseline at night and exfoliate in the morning before using tint, I was pleasantly surprised. Even on nights I forgot the Vaseline, Hongsi Balm kept my lips from cracking all day. It's not just pretty - it's a hydration powerhouse! 1. Longevity: It's a bit harsh to judge Hongsi Balm on its staying power since it's a lip balm. Just don't buy it expecting long-lasting color. 2. Texture: It tends to melt a bit when stored in a bag that's close to your body. It might turn completely runny in midsummer... What to use then? 3. The intense moisture can make your hair stick to your lips on windy days. Even an ant falling from a tree stuck to my lips! While it's not extremely sticky, I wouldn't recommend it to those who dislike slippery textures. 4. Amount: It disappears when drinking through a straw or eating, so frequent reapplication is necessary. You also need to apply a thick layer for good color payoff, which means it runs out quickly. Next time, I'll buy two tubes. 5. Brush: Absolutely do not buy the brush! It's designed to extend the bristles when you pull the top and bottom, but after a month, the top part came off, rendering the brush useless. It was 9,900 won? At Olive Young, they sell portable brushes for around 4,500 or 4,900 won - just buy those instead. Even if you buy two of those, it's still the same price as one AOU brush. 1. Cha Cha + Hongsi Balm: The color becomes more intense. When I wore this combo, my friends complimented me saying I looked 4 years younger! Although it's no longer a wearable combination for me after toning down my hair, I highly recommend it for those with a deep undertone. 2. Cotton Melba + Hongsi Balm: A soft, delicate color combination! 3. Play Tint + Hongsi Balm: After cooling down my hair color and becoming slightly cool-toned, I started using Play Tint. However, this combination doesn't work well, so I wouldn't recommend it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMar 14, 2023
As someone with fuller lips, I've always been on the hunt for glossy finishes even when matte lips were trending. The standout feature of this product is its glass-like, plump shine. It adheres perfectly without any stickiness. Even when applied generously, it doesn't feel heavy! While it's not a thin application, it lacks the typical heavy, sticky feel of glosses. It glides on smoothly like a varnish, without emphasizing dead skin cells. It stays put while keeping lips hydrated. I have thick lips that tend to swell in the morning, causing wrinkles, but this product doesn't accentuate them at all. Usually, I carry both a tint and lip balm due to dry lips, but this color eliminates the need for both. For those with naturally darker lips, this alone can create a radiant look. After being diagnosed with a deep undertone, I bought the 'Hong-si Balm' based on the recommendation for coral shades. The staying power is impressive - one application lasts throughout the work day unless you eat something. Being fragrance-free, it's perfect for those sensitive to scents in lip products. Honestly, it's so good I'd highly recommend it to everyone around me. The jar format might be inconvenient for those who prefer easy application. As someone who used to use stick lip balms, I initially found it a bit messy to apply with fingers. However, considering the texture and how the product is meant to be used, I think the jar format is unavoidable. I recommend purchasing the accompanying lip brush - it applies the product well and its compact size makes it convenient to carry. When applying, try blending the edges for a pretty gradient effect. For a more delicate look, apply a thicker layer than usual. If you're wearing other makeup, I suggest applying a tint first, then using this as a final coating on your lips. Of course, this is just my personal opinion...
