Depending on the texture and color, you can create diverse makeup styles, which I find very satisfying. The most satisfying aspect is the wide range of light base colors, which provides ample options for my light skin tone of #13. Other brand palettes often have only 0-2 usable light shades, so it was more convenient to create a palette using single shadows. However, the Shell in the Sea palette by Holika Holika is arranged in a sequential tone-on-tone manner without leaning too heavily on one tone, allowing for excellent color versatility and frequent use. There are many daily-use base and standalone colors that are not heavy or opaque, but build up transparently, allowing for harmonious color combinations. This is a very satisfying aspect for me.

The color tones are so vibrant and distinctively beautiful. Other brands usually have a pale base color and then layer on different accent colors, but the Holika Holika palettes are so smooth and creamy, even when you just apply the accent colors, they have this soft, milky look that is just gorgeous. The color saturation is also just right - not too intense, but still really pretty. This is truly one of the most beautiful palettes I've ever seen... it's almost painful how lovely it is. Among light palettes, this is definitely Tier 1 for me. Though my personal favorite is still the Shel on the Beach, and the Shel in the Sea is a bit too cool-toned for me, so I use it a lot mixed in with the Shel on the Beach.
ConsI really wish there was a pink version of the Shel on the Beach and Shel in the Sea palettes that was right in the middle. After using the Shel on the Beach, I've been wanting a palette that's just a touch more pink, but I've been searching for almost a year and couldn't find anything. So I ended up buying the Shel in the Sea and mixing it with the Shel on the Beach. The Letter from Spring palette is somewhat close to what I was looking for, but the color story is a bit too similar to the Like Shel palettes. I wish the Letter from Spring had a slightly different layout. But I'm still so happy that there have been so many gorgeous light palettes coming out lately. I'm really looking forward to Holika Holika's next palette release!
TipWhen you mix the Shel on the Beach and Shel in the Sea palettes, the combination creates such a beautiful, vibrant pink look! But I also purchased the cool-toned colors. It's so cool and refreshing, so I think even the true cool-toned people can use it and look radiant. The great thing about the Holika Holika palette is not just the good quality shadows, but also the beautiful embossed and debossed patterns that won't get damaged no matter how much you use it. This is a very important issue for makeup enthusiasts. Overall, I'm very satisfied with it.
