It really doesn't look cakey at all and becomes incredibly soft. The particles are truly fine... The oil control is also more natural than other powders. The combination with the puff is great, and the longevity is good. The About Tone powder was too cakey and the oil control didn't last, so I switched, and I'm very satisfied.
Cons

And it feels a bit more porous and airbrushed than the previous Laneige powder. It provides a slight skin perfecting effect and has good lasting power.
