It's frustrating not being able to see how much product is left. I find that using the entire Dermafirm line together works best. I started with the Dermafirm pads, which I love for their convenience. You absolutely must use this with a cream! You can definitely feel your skin becoming more firm and elastic! The packaging is too large compared to the actual product volume. The absorbs really well... It has that unique Bakuchiol scent? Kind of like a cool, minty feeling... Bakuchiol is famous as a retinol alternative, known for being less irritating. I was hopeful that even sensitive skin could use it relatively gently, so I started with high expectations. But it seems it didn't quite agree with my skin. For reference, I use retinol without issues, so I never thought my skin would react badly. Texture & First Impression It has a light serum texture, and there wasn't much irritation when applying. At first, it absorbed well and felt moisturizing, so I thought, "This might be good!" But the problem started the next morning - I felt allergy symptoms, hives, redness, and itching all the way down to my neck. This was the first time I've had such a severe reaction, so I immediately stopped using it. It took quite a while for my skin to calm down afterwards. I realized that even though Bakuchiol is said to be less irritating, it's not necessarily gentle for all skin types. If you have sensitive or blemish-prone skin, I strongly recommend doing a patch test before use. Oddly enough, I didn't have much of a reaction during my patch test... This experience highlights the importance of individual skin reactions. While Bakuchiol is often touted as a gentler alternative to retinol, it's crucial to remember that everyone's skin is unique. For those with super sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions, it's always best to proceed with caution when trying new active ingredients. It feels gentle and suitable even for my super sensitive skin. I bought this after seeing YouTuber Holly's glowing skin, and after just 3 days of use, my dry skin is now radiating Inner Glow!! (I'm using it as a set with the toner pads + serum + cream, though!) It really seems to hydrate well without any irritation. Compared to the glow it gives, it doesn't quite tackle deep dryness as much as I'd like. This is my holy grail product! The redness reduction effect is incredible, and the glow it gives is insane. The hydration is so powerful that in summer, I can skip cream entirely - just layer this serum and finish with sunscreen. Those with oily skin might find it a bit slippery. I found that layering it two or three times works even better.
