It doesn't seem like this will make you lose weight just by taking it, but if you've been dieting well and have a day where you overeat, taking this definitely feels like it helps you gain less weight. It's not an ineffective product! As I kept taking it, I felt like I was building up a tolerance and the effects were gradually diminishing. So I'd take it for a while, then take a break for about 5-6 months, and when I start again, it works fine. I've been taking this product for years now. When I was advised to watch my cholesterol levels, I looked into various calorie-cutting supplements before deciding on this one. Somehow, it helps ease my guilt, and since it's green tea catechin, it doesn't upset my stomach, which I really appreciate. It's a bit disappointing that it contains caffeine, but I suppose that's unavoidable given it's a green tea extract. It's best to take one tablet after meals daily. I bought this because the Me**lin C**am is so expensive... and it never goes on sale. The price of this one is nice, and Now Foods is a trustworthy brand. I'm not sure about the effectiveness, but I didn't experience any side effects. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing about it, but for some reason, I don't feel compelled to repurchase it.
