This product is an excellent way to supplement the vitamin D we might be lacking. Apparently, over 70% of our population has been shown to have low vitamin D levels. A deficiency in vitamin D can potentially increase the risk of bone density issues and mental health concerns like depression. Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is the active form of vitamin D. Given that Now Foods is a reputable brand, I believe the product turnover is quick and the quality is reliable.
