To get sunlight, it's best to be outdoors between 10 AM and noon when sunlight is abundant. However, many office workers find this challenging. This product is an excellent way to supplement the vitamin D we might be lacking. Apparently, over 70% of our population has been shown to have low vitamin D levels. A deficiency in vitamin D can potentially increase the risk of bone density issues and mental health concerns like depression. Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is the active form of vitamin D. Given that Now Foods is a reputable brand, I believe the product turnover is quick and the quality is reliable. Unfortunately, the 5000IU and 10000IU products aren't listed, so I'm forced to write this review on the 3000IU product page. Personally, I find the 5000IU product ideal for daily or every other day use. If you visit a family medicine or functional medicine clinic, you can get comprehensive medical advice on functional nutritional components like vitamins, minerals, omega-3, and probiotics, along with checking your blood levels for vitamin deficiencies. If you're simply looking to check your blood levels, you can inquire at any hospital that does blood tests about adding specific components you're interested in to the test items before your visit. - hh*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 2, 2024
Small and easy to swallow, with no taste at all! The 3000IU dosage means one a day is sufficient. It gives me peace of mind that it's protecting my cartilage. As I mentioned above, I take it out of a sense of reassurance and obligation. To be honest, I don't really feel any noticeable effects. - hy*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedDec 15, 2023
Vitamin D is an essential supplement I always make sure to take. I've tried various kinds from iHerb during their promotions, and NOW Foods' vitamin was particularly good. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it. You can snag it at a great price when iHerb has a sale. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 12, 2023
I ordered the 5000 IU version directly from overseas, and the pills are small, making them easy to swallow! There are no downsides! This is a must-have vitamin I always take during the less sunny winter months! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2023
The pills are small and easy to swallow, which is great! I'll probably buy them again, especially since the price is reasonable. There aren't any real downsides, but the plastic container is a bit large, which makes me worry about environmental impact. It's unavoidable, I suppose... - rk*******Combination SkinRecommendedNov 30, 2023
I really liked this product for its great value for money - it's not expensive at all I think it might be even better to take breaks from using it occasionally to prevent your skin from building up a tolerance - tn*******Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedOct 31, 2023
This is a product I take regularly. It's affordable and the pills are small, making them easy to swallow. There's nothing particularly negative to mention. It's cost-effective and has good ingredients, so I plan to repurchase. - ge****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedOct 31, 2023
The capsule form makes it super portable. The price is reasonable, and it's packed with a high concentration of active ingredients. It's an okay product, but the pill-like scent is a bit off-putting. - le*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 31, 2023
I take this supplement since I don't get much sunlight sitting in the office all day Don't consume too much as it can strain your liver. Stick to about 2000 IU - ty*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 24, 2023
As an office worker who rarely sees sunlight, I consistently take this as a vitamin D supplement The pills are individually wrapped, so you need to be careful when opening them, and they're small, making them easy to drop
