You use it by dropping it with a dropper. The most important texture for a hair essence is slightly thinner than a typical essence. I usually use Moroccan oil, but this has a much lighter, water-like texture. It's less sticky and heavy than oils or essences, making it especially nice for hot summers. When applied to slightly damp hair, it leaves it moisturized and smooth, not dry or frizzy.
ConsThe scent is disappointing. As soon as you open the cap, there's a strong smell reminiscent of spearmint or a woody men's cologne, which is hard to get used to. Maybe I'm more sensitive to scented products now since I've been using a lot of fragrance-free products with good ingredients lately. I'm not sure if it contains artificial fragrances, but personally, I prefer unscented products. The scent is a letdown.
TipAfter washing your hair, gently towel dry it and massage the product into your hair, focusing on the ends. Avoid applying it to your scalp as it might make your hair greasy. Concentrating on damaged hair ends helps keep them moisturized and tames frizziness. Consistently using hair essences or oils seems to improve overall hair texture.

The semi-transparent container is a plus, allowing you to see how much product is left in the dropper, which is quite convenient. The dropper applicator makes it easy to distribute the serum evenly across the scalp. The product's formula is impressively clear and non-sticky, preventing the scalp from looking greasy. Thanks to its texture, it absorbs quickly, making the application process completely hassle-free. After applying and letting it absorb, you can feel a pleasant cooling effect. Since heat on the scalp can have negative impacts, this cooling sensation is beneficial in reducing scalp temperature. As someone who washes their hair before bed, I found the refreshing mint scent helpful for a good night's sleep. I used it every other day for two weeks. Before using the product, I experienced stress-related hair loss, with more hair falling out than typical for my age group. However, as you can see in the final photo, the amount of hair loss has significantly decreased.
ConsThe product instructions weren't clearly outlined in the description, making it challenging to use initially. Even the manufacturer's website lacks detailed usage instructions. More comprehensive product information would be helpful. Due to its thin consistency, the serum can sometimes run down from the scalp to the forehead during application and absorption. A spray format might have been more effective than the dropper. The amount dispensed with each pump is quite small (filling only about half of the dropper). This means multiple pumps are needed to cover the entire scalp, which can be a bit tedious. The price seems somewhat high considering the product volume.
TipFor best results, gently massage the product into your scalp, then use a wooden paddle brush to tap and brush your scalp. It feels wonderfully refreshing.

I applied it like a serum, dropping it onto my scalp and letting it absorb. It felt moisturizing and gentle. The liquid formula absorbs quickly when you pat it in! No stickiness and it has a nice cooling effect. Although I haven't used it long enough to see dramatic results, I believe consistent use will lead to a healthier scalp! My hair falls out a lot, so I'm excited to keep using this product as it's supposed to strengthen the hair roots. While using it, I didn't experience any adverse reactions like scalp irritation or itching. The safe ingredients make me feel confident in using it regularly. It's definitely gentle and non-irritating!
ConsThe most disappointing aspect was the scent. Why does it smell like a medicated patch? After patting it in to absorb, my hands smell like a pain relief patch. Some people say they like the cool, refreshing scent! It seems like the fragrance might be a bit polarizing.

Texture: It's neither sticky nor greasy, and dries quickly, so it feels light on the scalp. Application: The dropper format allows for precise application of small amounts to specific areas.
ConsPackaging: The glass bottle is heavy and feels a bit precarious to use in the bathroom. Instructions: There are no usage instructions on the bottle or packaging. I had to refer to other scalp serums for guidance. It would be helpful to have information on the proper amount to use, where to apply it, and whether massage is needed. After-effects: While it feels fine immediately after application, by evening the treated areas of hair become dry, similar to using dry shampoo.
TipApplication areas: I applied it in three lines - one down the center of my forehead and one on each side. Amount: I used one dropper-full for each line. Timing: For best results, apply after shampooing when hair is towel-dried, then blow dry. This gives a nice cooling effect. Tip: After applying, gently massage the serum into the scalp with your fingertips to enhance absorption.

Even on my oily scalp, it doesn't feel sticky and doesn't create excess oil. The transparent bottle is great for checking how much product is left. The dropper applicator makes it easy to apply without getting the product on your hands. While I haven't seen significant results yet, it does reduce scalp heat and absorbs well, so I'm hopeful for its long-term effects on hair loss prevention.
ConsThe product instructions are not very user-friendly - I had to search for a while to find the information I needed. Considering the volume and price, it doesn't seem to be the most cost-effective option.
TipAfter shampooing, try applying it to your damp scalp using the dropper, then gently massage it in with a hair brush for better absorption.

In this aspect, I'd say it had an average effect. It didn't make things worse, and there was a slight improvement from the current situation. Also, the dropper was a bit inconvenient as it didn't draw up the product in one go, so I had to do it several times.
TipThe cooling effect is at its best when used right after washing your hair!

I applied a few drops to my scalp, gently massaging it in. It absorbed well without any sticky feeling. Due to its lightweight formula, it didn't make my hair greasy or weighed down. ● Cooling effect: ★★★★★ When you apply a few drops and massage it into the scalp, you can feel a cooling effect. I liked that it wasn't an intense chill, but rather a subtle cooling sensation. Although this gentle cooling didn't last too long, it seemed to help reduce scalp heat. Unlike some other cooling products I've tried before that made my scalp itchy, this one didn't cause any itching or burning sensation. ● Effects on hair loss, etc.: ★★★☆☆ I didn't really notice any significant changes in terms of hair thickening or improvement in hair loss symptoms.
Cons● Room for improvement The product instructions were not provided on the box or on the Hwahae app's product detail page. While I assumed it was meant to be absorbed into the scalp in appropriate amounts, I still had questions. Can it be used on wet hair? Should it be applied to dry scalp? Should it be used only on problem areas or all over the scalp? To find accurate usage instructions, I had to visit the Hair Habit website. It would be more convenient if the usage instructions were printed on the product box. I felt that a regular dropper might be easier to use than the click-type dropper on the product container.

Here's my experience: Texture and Application: - The formula has a water-like consistency, which feels clean and non-sticky when applied to the scalp. However, it can run, so you need to massage it into the scalp until it's fully absorbed. Post-Application Sensation: - Similar to other hair loss products, it seems to cool the scalp, reducing that burning sensation. Effectiveness: While it's too early to tell if new hair is growing, I can definitely say my hair feels thicker than before I started using this product.
ConsThe dropper applicator makes it challenging to evenly distribute the product across the entire scalp. For hair products, a spray bottle format seems more practical.

Gentle on skin I was worried about irritation due to my sensitive skin, but there wasn't any significant discomfort. However, when I applied another hair essence to the ends of my hair, the combination seemed to cause some blemishes. When used alone, this product was fine though! 2. Application experience The water-like texture tends to drip, so I had to be careful not to get it on my face. There was no stickiness at all, but after use, there was a slightly heavy feeling, though not too intense. It absorbs well, and the heavy sensation disappeared by morning after using it at night! 3. Effectiveness The most important part, the results... To be honest, they're not dramatic. Typically, these kinds of products aren't easy to show dramatic effects, and if they did, we might worry they're too harsh. I started losing hair after giving birth, so I applied to be a tester. While it didn't completely stop my hair loss (which is actually getting worse), I applied the serum to only part of my scalp for comparison. The treated area definitely seems to have more strength! Since there were no blemishes with solo use and I saw some effects, I plan to apply it thoroughly to my entire scalp!
ConsAs everyone has pointed out... the usage instructions aren't clearly provided. I applied it to my scalp after washing and towel-drying my hair, then massaged it in, but I'm not sure if that's correct. I wonder if it should be used on dry hair, but I was afraid it might make my hair greasy and heavy.
TipI recommend patch testing a small amount on a limited area first to check for any potential irritation!

I was worried it might clump my hair or feel sticky, but I was pleased that there was no stickiness or oiliness after application. The scent is a refreshing menthol aroma, similar to Vicks VapoRub. It provides a cooling effect that lasts about 15 minutes after application, which I found surprisingly pleasant. While I'm not sure about its effectiveness in reducing hair loss, I didn't experience any side effects like increased blemishes or tingling sensations.
ConsOccasionally, the pump doesn't work well. Other than that, I don't have any particular complaints.
TipJust drop a small amount along your part line and tilt your head back – it spreads easily across the scalp.
