It's not drying and feels quite moisturizing, so I'd recommend it for those with dry skin. In a way, it doesn't seem to have any standout features... just a rather ordinary, unremarkable product. - on******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 5, 2025
Laura Mercier's loose powder is my go-to. Despite the many great powders on the market, Laura Mercier still seems to be the best for me. The mineral powder was especially my savior when I had extremely oily skin, being the only one that could hold up. However, as I've gotten older, I've started to notice some dryness. For daily use, the loose setting powder is unbeatable. Some powders, even with fine particles, tend to fly everywhere, don't settle well, and have poor staying power. But Laura Mercier is different... For me, it's the quintessential powder. I hope it stays in production for years to come, without being discontinued! There are no downsides... Even if I try to find faults, this product's performance is pretty much flawless. - ji******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 30, 2024
It's lightweight yet long-lasting, giving my face a natural glow. I've been using it for a while now. Is the price getting more and more wicked? Other than that, I have no complaints. I prefer a foundation with a bit more coverage. - ju*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 28, 2024
My holy grail powder! As someone with oily skin who frequently uses powder, this is an absolute game-changer. The ivory shade brightens and evens any complexion beautifully. Its pore-blurring effect is outstanding - it's like applying a filter to your skin, giving you that flawless porcelain look. Unlike drying powders, this one is matte but moisturized, making it perfect even for winter use. It has excellent staying power, and when it does fade, it does so gracefully with a natural glow, eliminating the need for touch-ups. Plus, it's incredibly long-lasting - the generous amount seems never-ending! I wish it had an extra cap at the opening. When it rolls around in my makeup bag and I open it, powder spills out everywhere. For the best blurring effect, try patting the powder on with a brush instead of sweeping it across your skin. You'll see the difference immediately! - as********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 14, 2024
It doesn't dry out the skin, and with its slight thickness, a light application brings out your facial contours beautifully The ingredients and price are quite disappointing, especially the price. Fortunately, it doesn't leave the skin feeling particularly dry - cy****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 24, 2024
For combination to oily skin (especially in the T-zone), no matter how meticulously you apply your makeup, it'll disappear without a setting powder. Laura Mercier's loose powder is on par with MUFE powder as a top-tier finishing powder. If you're unsure, either one will do the job. It's that good - no drawbacks, effectively blurs pores, and adheres well to keep your makeup in place all day. The downside is that the packaging is too bulky to carry around easily. You'll need to prepare a separate travel-sized version. - so*****Dry SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 22, 2024
This powder applies transparently. As it's a hydrating powder, I recommend it for those with dry skin! Even people with dry skin need to apply something in summer when oil production increases, and this is great for a light application. I recommend it for those who want to maintain moisturized skin while using a lightweight product. I absolutely don't recommend this for those wanting a matte finish. It only makes the skin surface slightly matte while the skin underneath remains moisturized. - cc****Dry SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 25, 2024
As someone with very dry skin, I decided to try this hydrating powder since it promised not to be drying. It definitely feels less drying while still giving my skin a soft, matte finish. I think I'll keep repurchasing this in the future! Because it's more hydrating, it doesn't give that super matte, blurred skin effect. The staying power is also a bit disappointing. There's a travel size available, which is good for touch-ups on the go, but it's not ideal. It tends to clump when applied with a puff, so you need to use a brush, but carrying a brush around is inconvenient. It seems like it requires some skill to apply properly. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2024
I always come back to this no matter what else I try... It's truly the best. It doesn't make my skin feel dry, and while it gives a powdery finish, it still keeps my skin hydrated... Hmm... I can't think of anything negative. It's all so good that I have nothing to criticize. Plus, you get a generous amount! - ba********Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessMar 17, 2024
The amount is monstrous! It's really generous. I love that it's not white like other powders, but a pretty ivory color. It's great because it doesn't just control oil, but also provides a slight tone correction. It's very close to skin color, so it looks natural. Perfect for even the lightest makeup. I didn't reach for it super often though. The artificial fragrance is quite strong, I must say. It's not a light scent, but a heavy one that screams 'I'm a cosmetic product!' It finishes very matte and dry. Compared to other famous powders, I can't say the particles are extremely fine. Even when compared to Innis** or Makeup For**. The online price is much cheaper! They also have a mini version for travel, which I think is a great idea.
