It's firm and doesn't soften easily, making it versatile for various uses. It lathers up really well! The scent isn't very strong, which might be why it somehow reminds me of lavender. - di******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 1, 2025
Great value for money, so I bought a lot. The cleansing effectiveness for hands seems excellent. Can be a bit drying with frequent use. Same goes for body use. The price is wallet-friendly. Purchased a large size at a bargain. The scent isn't particularly pleasant. However, it has good cleansing power. Due to the drying effect, I can't use it too often. Still, I've always wanted to try an olive soap, and this seems like a good opportunity to do so. - go*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 29, 2024
I tried using the Lanpalat soap for both body wash and shampoo, but it was so drying that it actually made my hair loss worse. However, I'm really satisfied with D'Alland Olive when used as a shampoo. It's as gentle as regular shampoo bars without exacerbating any issues. The scent is more like laundry soap than olive, but with its simple ingredients, it's mild and works well for both hair and body cleansing. I also like the size of the bar - it's quite firm, but like all soaps, it softens with use. Just make sure to let it dry between uses. I'm using D'Alland Olive with complete satisfaction and have no complaints. - ww******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 11, 2024
Highly recommend this Turkish soap! It's versatile enough for full-body use, but it really shines as a shampoo bar. Dalan offers a wide range of soaps, but this one and the lavender version stand out with their strong fragrances. While bay leaf is recommended for oily scalps, it was a bit harsh for my sensitive skin... Still, it nails the basics! The bar is firm, doesn't get mushy easily, and lathers well. Plus, the fresh bathroom scent is a real mood-lifter. The added olive oil makes it great for hand washing too. And the price? It's a steal! Personally, I preferred the lavender version. I'd only recommend the bay leaf soap for those with resilient scalps. - th*******Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 25, 2024
This is exactly what you'd expect a soap to be - pure and simple, without any unnecessary frills. It's just perfect. However, it can be a bit harsh, leaving your hair feeling stiff after washing. You'll definitely need to follow up with a conditioner. - md******Normal SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 16, 2024
The scent is a bit stronger than lavender, I'd say. Personally, I prefer the subtle lavender fragrance, but I think this laurel scent might be more suitable for men who sweat a lot. The cleansing effectiveness is really excellent! Even when I used it multiple times during sweaty summer days, it didn't stress my hair and maintained good hydration. (I'm a woman with short hair, by the way.) For those with long hair, you might want to use a conditioner on the ends after using this shampoo bar. Like the lavender version, it softens too easily. It's quite noticeable how quickly it shrinks when used with a mesh bag. To make it last longer, I've found that letting it dry between uses helps a bit. I don't have any specific tips, but I've found that massaging the shampoo bar directly on the scalp feels refreshing and nice! - du*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 22, 2023
I got it at a bargain price. Considering the cost, you get a generous amount that lasts a long time. After use, my hair feels stiff like I've washed it with soap, and it doesn't quite give that refreshing clean feeling I'm looking for. - ba*********Combination SkinNov 15, 2023
It's great that you can use it all over your body. This handmade soap has its own unique charm. The soap tends to soften quite easily. Absolutely avoid storing it in humid areas. - pi*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessNov 1, 2023
I love that I can use this comfortably due to its gentle ingredients. My husband especially likes it. It seems more suitable for short hair. For long hair, it takes a bit more time since you need to apply it thoroughly to every part. Maybe because my expectations were high, but compared to the shampoos I've used before, this one produces less lather. It's hard to absorb it into the scalp and give a refreshing cleanse with a shampoo brush. Most importantly, when I rinse it out with water, my hair feels very stiff. So I have to follow up with treatment, silk therapy, and even apply scalp tonic. After using this shampoo, I do another round with an anti-hair loss shampoo. Then, after removing excess water, I apply a layer or two of treatment following the direction of my hair. I put on a clear shower cap, followed by a heat-retaining hair cap, wait for about 5 minutes, and then rinse. It's like getting a treatment at a salon. - ka*********Combination SkinRecommendedOct 19, 2023
The soap doesn't soften quickly, so it lasts a long time. My child and I use it together, and we haven't experienced any unusual dryness or itching. It can sting the eyes a bit, and it doesn't lather very well, so you need to scrub quite vigorously. Soften the soap with lukewarm water before use, and cleanse your whole body with a shower puff for a quick shower. The photo shows the soap after 2-3 weeks of use.
