It has a slightly viscous texture between a watery toner and an ampoule essence. I've been using it in place of my toner (those with very oily skin might prefer to apply it after a watery toner in summer). Surprisingly, it doesn't cause any tingling or burning sensation when applied to bare skin. I was initially concerned about irritation, as many vitamin products can be harsh, but this one seems gentler, which I really appreciate. It absorbs quickly, leaving a fresh finish, and doesn't pill or clump when layering other moisturizers on top. As someone with extremely dry, atopic skin, I'm meticulous about hydration even in summer. This serum's texture is perfect as a first step, preventing the pilling and sliding that can happen when layering multiple products. Regarding its brightening effects, I haven't noticed significant changes yet as I've only been using it for a short time. I plan to use it consistently for at least a month! I'm hopeful that with continued use, my complexion will gradually become clearer.
ConsNow that I think about it, the price is... Unless you're part of The Hwahae Testers, it's a bit steep considering the quantity. I might hesitate to purchase it myself at this price point. Also, while it feels fine immediately after application, as it dries, there's a slight tightening sensation that can feel a bit drying (though this might vary from person to person).
TipApply it generously at night rather than in the morning, preferably as the first step in your skincare routine.

It's not painful at all. The thin consistency doesn't drip, so it's not inconvenient to apply. The scent is close to unscented, but there's a subtle, fresh fragrance that shouldn't be off-putting! Some vitamin C products I've tried were extremely irritating, applied with a yellow tint, and had an overwhelming smell. This product doesn't have any of those issues, which I really appreciate. My skin usually breaks out immediately when using incompatible products, but this one seems gentle enough that I didn't experience any blemishes. I feel like my skin texture has been subtly refined, and there's a soft glow too. It seems perfect for light use during the summer months!
ConsAlthough it's marketed as a brightening serum, I haven't noticed my skin becoming brighter yet. Also, after it dries, my skin feels quite tight. For those with combination dehydrated skin, this product might be too light.
TipIt's worth buying when it's on sale!
