As someone who's not a fan of low pH cleansing foams, I initially thought this might not cleanse well. But I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshed my skin felt afterward! If you're like me - disliking slippery low pH cleansers but finding squeaky-clean ones too drying - this is perfect for combination dehydrated skin! It starts as a clear gel, then transforms into foam when mixed with water and massaged in. While it lathers well, the foam isn't super dense - it's more on the soft side. I've noticed my skin doesn't get oily as quickly compared to when I used other cleansing foams, so it seems to help manage sebum production to some extent. Those expecting a low pH cleanser to feel super moisturizing might actually find this a bit drying. Since it contains salicylic acid, I was cautious about potential irritation and only used it once a day for my evening cleanse. It might work well to alternate this with other cleansing foams in your routine! - na*********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 20, 2025
You can definitely feel the calming effect, and the cleansing power is above average! There's not much to complain about, honestly! - lc*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 19, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin in summer and dry skin otherwise, plus blemish-prone skin, I'm quite picky about my skincare. While I often switch up my basic products, I stick to cleansers that I'm satisfied with. This product has become such a staple that I've gone through multiple bottles! I use it for my morning cleanse and as a second cleanser in my evening double cleanse routine when needed. Even when my skin is breaking out, this cleanser doesn't cause any irritation. (I've never experienced this product worsening my blemishes or causing new ones.) What's more, after cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight or deeply dry. This isn't really a downside, but it's worth noting that as a cleansing product, it doesn't have a significant effect on soothing blemishes. For blemish relief, look for products designed for that purpose in your other skincare steps (toner, serum, cream). - mn****Combination SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2025
It lathers up easily and produces a rich foam. The cleansing effectiveness is great, and it's gentle on sensitive skin. There's not much to complain about. If I had to mention something, there's a slight scent, but it's not overpowering. This cleanser seems to be a great option for those with super sensitive skin. It combines thorough cleansing with a gentle formula, which is ideal for maintaining your skin's balance. The minimal fragrance is a plus for those who prefer unscented products or have sensitivities to strong smells. - ou**Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2025
This seems great for combination dehydrated skin or combination skin types. I use it in the morning as a gentle, low pH cleanser and it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry - it's quite nice actually. I haven't been using it long enough to know if it's effective for blemishes yet, so I'll need to keep using it to find out. - th*******Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 12, 2025
This cleanser is truly gentle. It's perfect for morning cleansing routines. There are absolutely no downsides. While it might not remove heavy makeup completely, it's really excellent for morning cleansing. This product works wonderfully as a mild cleanser, especially for those with sensitive skin. Its gentle formula makes it ideal for morning use when you don't need to remove heavy makeup. The cleansing effectiveness is just right for refreshing your skin at the start of the day without causing any irritation. For evening use or removing stubborn makeup, you might need a stronger cleanser, but for a soft morning cleanse, this product is a top choice. - au*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 3, 2025
I've been using this exclusively for my morning cleanse. As a low pH product, I've reserved it for my morning skincare routine. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it lathers, especially for a gel cleanser - they often don't foam up much. A little goes a long way, making it great value for money! It leaves my skin feeling comfortable after washing, with no tightness or irritation - perfect for starting the day. While it's marketed for acne-prone skin, I don't typically struggle with major blemishes. However, I've noticed it seems to help calm any occasional skin reactions quickly. The lid is a bit challenging to open. When I first tried it, I thought it might be defective because it wouldn't budge. Turns out it just needs a bit of muscle. - dl*****Dry SkinRecommendedMay 27, 2025
It's gentle on the skin with no irritation, and I noticed a calming effect. This would be perfect for summer use! For those with dry skin, the hydration wasn't quite enough. It's better suited for summer use, or you might need to apply an extra layer. - js*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMay 21, 2025
I've been using this consistently for about 9 months since last summer! I discovered this cleansing foam when my skin was acting up. Normally, I don't have acne-prone skin, but last summer, my sebum production increased dramatically, causing severe blemishes on my forehead. While I can't say "this cleanser alone cured all my acne," it certainly does its best in the cleansing department! It has great cleansing effectiveness without causing irritation. (I feel it can even remove organic UV filters in sunscreens.) It doesn't strip the skin of hydration but still manages to remove excess oil. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, and its soothing effect seems to help with acne. This has become a staple in my skincare routine that I keep repurchasing! Since it's a gel-type cleanser, it tends to leak if you store the container upright. It's fine if you close it tightly, but if you accidentally leave it slightly open, it's a disaster! Any chance of releasing a pump version? It's also great as a second-step cleanser. - in******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 16, 2025
It seems like I should use it as an occasional item. I used it every day, but I couldn't use it anymore because my skin was too irritated. The Hwahae Testers recommended the Essenature Aqua Rice Mild Cleansing Foam, and although it was a bit slippery, it was good because my skin didn't hurt. I think it would be great to use when putting on makeup or as a secondary cleanser, or when my pores are clogged. The rinsing part is still pretty good. It rinses off very well. It's a gel type. Colorless clumps come out, like toothpaste. And the volume is large. Hwahae said that the product was gentle, and it seemed to suit my skin type as well. I watched a lot of videos and really searched hard to find it. However, when I cleanse my face, I feel a very tight and stretching sensation. Additionally, I have some internal dryness and external dryness.
