This ampoule really helped with blemishes and pigmentation! Key benefits: - Combines vitamin and retinol in one product - Non-sticky formula - Gentle enough for morning use I love that it doesn't feel sticky at all and doesn't yellow the skin, so you can use it day and night. The perfect balance of oil and moisture prevents deep dryness too. After about a month of consistent use, I noticed blemish-related pigmentation fading faster than usual, though not completely gone. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a gentle vitamin+retinol ampoule that can be used daily without irritation. The formula contains only a small amount of retinol, with niacinamide and panthenol as the main active ingredients. - ch********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedSep 24, 2024
I snatched this up as soon as I saw it on Pai unnie's YouTube. I don't like products that are too oily or sticky, so I was snooping around and reading reviews before I finally pulled the trigger on this one. It's perfect for those who hate heavy, suffocating products. Even after applying toner 3-4 times and a hydrating essence (I was worried about irritation), this absorbs quickly. There's barely any scent. It absorbs well even when I pump out 4 times the amount. It seems fine without refrigeration. You could probably use it before makeup without any issues. Maybe it's because I use a lot of toner or because I apply it after a hydrating essence, but it doesn't seem to do much for my combination dehydrated skin with dark spots, blemishes, and fine lines. I don't feel like it brightens my complexion. It's just... there? Like, did it add any nourishment? And it's not exactly cheap... I've been using it for almost a month now, but my skin doesn't look particularly radiant. That's all. I think it's a gentle brightening product. I use it as a base layer before applying other brightening products from The Ordinary. - dl*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedSep 17, 2024
Skin type: Dry / Sensitive / Prone to sun-induced pigmentation An ampoule gentle enough for sensitive skin If you experience tingling or irritation, use every other day Contains vitamin derivatives for synergistic brightening effects Relatively non-irritating for a retinol ampoule Great starter option for those hesitant about retinol side effects The retinol concentration is on the lower side, so don't expect dramatic results all at once. I'll use this as a starting point and gradually work my way up to higher retinol concentrations. First-time users may experience some irritation, so start with a small amount and gradually increase usage. Retinol works best when applied in the evening. If you use it during the day, always apply sunscreen - even if you're indoors all day. I skipped sunscreen once while staying home and ended up with red spots on my face. - me*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 2, 2024
This is truly the perfect vitamin and retinol starter product for me!! I highly recommend it for those with sensitive skin and blemish scars like mine. As someone with sensitive skin prone to inflammatory acne, I've always had reddish marks on my face. That's why I decided to try this product. Since both retinol and vitamin C can be irritating, I chose this gentle formula as my first attempt! Previously, products with even a small amount of retinol would make my face red and tingly, but this one is so mild and wonderful!! After about two weeks of use, I could definitely see improvement in my scar areas, and my overall skin texture became smoother. I plan to keep using it long-term. This product seems to focus more on vitamin C than retinol! So those expecting significant retinol effects might be a bit disappointed. Also, while I bought it specifically for its low-strength retinol, I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a high-potency formula. While it's probably best to use at night, I read that vitamin C should be used within 3 months of opening. So I've been diligently applying it during the day too, when I'm indoors! - kr********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 11, 2024
I've only recently decided to add a retinol product to my skincare routine, but I had no idea what to choose. So I watched Director Pi's video about retinol and was really surprised. Especially the part about how using products with high retinol concentrations initially can cause skin irritation. Following Director Pi's recommendation, I chose a product with a low retinol concentration for beginners. It's been two weeks since I started using it, and I'm just beginning to see results. My skin is very thin, so dark circles are really noticeable. But after using retinol, those dark circles have significantly lightened! I'm also using retinol for wrinkle prevention, and I can feel my skin becoming more firm. Of course, since it's still a low concentration, it's not a miracle worker that completely eliminates wrinkles, but with consistent use, you're bound to see results. A word of caution: applying too much retinol can irritate your skin, so it's recommended to start with a small amount and gradually increase. Since using this product, I haven't experienced any blemishes or allergic reactions. If you understand retinol and use it as directed, it won't irritate your skin or cause any adverse reactions. There's just one thing I wish was different. If the texture was a bit richer, it would be perfect. It absorbs too quickly when applied, leaving a slight feeling of dryness. However, since this product's main benefits are wrinkle prevention and brightening, it's still good to use as is. Just make sure to finish with a hydrating moisturizer for best results. Remember to store all retinol products in the refrigerator! When you take it out and apply it, it gives a long-lasting cooling effect that's really refreshing. It's great for calming heat and perfect for hot summers. - pr********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 28, 2024
1. It seems to help improve blemish marks. Although I've only been using it for about 3 weeks, the acne scars and dark spots that were bothering me have significantly faded! I'm using it with satisfaction, and I believe that with consistent use, the pigmented areas will eventually almost disappear... 2. My complexion seems a bit brighter! When I apply it in the evening and wake up in the morning, I feel like my skin looks more radiant!! I guess it's because of the vitamin C derivative ingredient? I had previously tried a product from 00spry famous for retinol, but it didn't seem to work for my skin. However, after trying this product on a friend's recommendation, I'm very satisfied! I originally didn't have acne-prone skin, but in the past few months, my skin has been breaking out and I've been worried about the scars. But apparently, when there's an issue with your stomach or intestines, it can cause facial breakouts! So I've been taking stomach supplements, using this product to care for the scars, and layering with the famous 0tion cream for moisture. The results seem to be showing quickly. For those like me who suddenly experienced skin issues, I think it would be good to use this product to care for scars before they settle in deeper. Since it's my first time using a product with vitamin derivatives, there was a slight tingling sensation at first! However, by adjusting the amount applied and using it with a soothing cream, it doesn't irritate the skin. You get used to it too! This might just apply to me, but... I think it works well when used together with 0tion cream! - se*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedMar 2, 2024
I bought this low-strength product to start my retinol journey. What's great is that despite containing retinol, it's combined with a vitamin C derivative, allowing me to introduce both vitamin C and retinol into my routine at once! Even though it's a low-strength retinol product, the concentration is just right - not too much. I use it with The Ordinary's Buffet, but using both daily made my skin super sensitive. As I have sensitive, dry skin, I only use retinol 5 times a week. This approach makes it less harsh and more agreeable for my skin. They say you need to use retinol products for 3 months to see results. While I haven't noticed any major changes yet, I recommended this product to a friend, and her skin has improved dramatically! (Especially in terms of blemish reduction and pore minimization) I'm currently taking a break as I'm undergoing laser treatments for my skin. The issue isn't with the product, but rather a caution about retinol use! If you're getting laser treatments, stop using retinol at least a week before and only resume after full recovery! Using retinol before laser can lead to hyperpigmentation! Don't apply this at the same time as other vitamin C products. Morning: Vitamin C Evening: Retinol (recommended) You know it's crucial to apply sunscreen after your morning cleanse when using retinol, right? Your skin becomes more susceptible to UV damage. - on********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 23, 2023
It's effective for wrinkles and sebum control, yet doesn't cause any blemishes. It's also hydrating and absorbs quickly without pilling. There aren't any. If the retinol content were higher, it might be more irritating. Everything is relative. - kh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 10, 2023
After a bad experience with S*ba A cream that caused my skin to peel off, I had given up on retinol. But I decided to try again with a milder version, and this ampoule is perfect for that. It's easy to apply without any worries. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm happy to report no irritation or peeling. What's great is that despite being a retinol product, it also contains moisturizing ingredients. After application, my skin feels hydrated and firm! The texture itself is quite thin. While the low concentration means there's no dramatic effect on pores or wrinkles, I can still notice my skin becoming clearer and my overall complexion improving. They say humans are forgetful creatures, don't they? I wish there was a version with a slightly higher concentration available. The current concentration feels a bit too low, which is somewhat disappointing. This ampoule is great for retinol beginners or those who don't tolerate high-concentration retinol well. It's a good starting point. I applied it daily and experienced no irritation, skin flare-ups, or peeling. - ji*******Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 8, 2023
I bought this low-strength retinol product based on Director Pi's recommendation. The brightening effect seems quite good. Being a low-strength product, it's not too harsh on the skin. Except for sensitive areas (for me, around the mouth), I can apply it daily without any issues, which is great. It also improves skin texture. What I'm most satisfied with is that you can get it at a great price during Olive Young sales! To be honest, I bought it hoping to minimize pores, but it doesn't have much effect on them. It seems to work mainly for brightening and improving skin texture. For my next low-strength product, I'm thinking of trying Innisfree again, even though I had a bad reaction to it before. 1. Once, I applied retinol incorrectly and my skin reacted badly. I frantically applied soothing ampoules and this ampoule, which resulted in an oil explosion! As with everything, moderation is key. If you apply a moderate amount and follow up with a hydrating emulsion (I use Cellbrick), you can use it without irritation, even without an extra ampoule. 2. Being an Olive Young product, it's quite affordable during their Black Friday or big sale events. I bought it for just 10,200 won during Olive Young's online Black Friday sale. 3. It's best to do your research before starting with retinol. It's not cheap and can be a bit cumbersome to apply. However, the results are worth it. I'm currently alternating between low-strength, high-strength, and fermented ampoules.
