But for a dry-skinned person like me who dislikes overly dewy cushions, I think I've found the perfect product! 1. It creates a beautiful skin finish - it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells and makes my skin look so pretty that my friends all asked what I was using. 2. True to its 'water' velvet name, it feels refreshingly moisturizing when first applied. Plus, the puff quality is exceptional - it works perfectly with the formula. 3. The shade is gorgeous! This is its biggest advantage. If you're fair-skinned and find that even light cushions look dull, you must try the WeMakeup Water Velvet in Porcelain. Highly recommended! (The case is pretty too!)
ConsThe amount is a bit small... And the coverage isn't particularly high. My dark spots still show through a little.

As someone with combination dehydrated skin, it absorbs well into my base skincare without any noticeable pilling. I appreciate the velvet-like finish rather than a matte one. While I can't say the coverage is exceptional, it works perfectly for me - it covers mild redness. The mini cushion that comes with it is absolutely fantastic! It's ideal to carry around for touch-ups when you're out. Despite its small size, it has everything you need and looks adorable! While it's not a cushion for heavy-duty coverage, it's great for everyday use. There was a slight breakdown after some time, though.
ConsIf I had to point out a downside, it would be that the coverage isn't extraordinarily high, and there is some breakdown over time.
TipWhether it's a cushion, foundation, or anything else, I think the most crucial thing is to build a solid skincare base and ensure proper absorption before applying any base or color makeup.

I've been really satisfied with the Water Velvet Foundation, so I decided to try the cushion version too. I was hesitant because there's no refill, but I bought it when it came out as a mini set! First off, it's quite different from the foundation! The foundation has a velvety semi-matte texture that's easy to apply without much technique and doesn't look cakey. However, this cushion is much more matte than the foundation. It's as powdery and high in powder content as the Laneige Neo Cushion. As a result, it doesn't absorb well and can look patchy... The powder tends to clump, causing an uneven application! It's not suitable for quick pat-pat application when you're in a rush in the morning. You need to apply a very moisturizing base and then use only a tiny amount, patting just once! If you go over the same spot twice with the cushion, it clumps, separates, and settles into lines.... This is the first cushion I've found so difficult to use. I'm planning to try the Glow Cushion next. Interestingly, after some time, it does seem to meld with the skin and the powdery finish disappears... If you apply a solid skincare base and use a very thin layer, wait for it to absorb, and then apply another layer, you can achieve high coverage. It's quite different from the foundation, so I'd recommend it to those with very dry skin who know how to work with it effectively.
ConsThe powder content is really high... It's difficult to apply, and if you're not careful, it can clump, settle into lines, and cause a mess. You absolutely can't pat over the same spot twice... So you really need to know how to use it properly.

It doesn't settle into wrinkles or feel heavy, and there's no dull or ashy color. It's perfect for summer, with a velvety smooth finish. (The shade is a beautiful vanilla ice cream color with absolutely no darkening.) I don't apply it all over my face, just around my mouth and on my forehead for coverage. There's no noticeable difference in tone, it beautifully covers only the pigmentation I want to hide, and provides a slight tone correction, which I'm very satisfied with. Even on days when I go out wearing this product, there's no patchiness at all, and no flaking, pilling, or breakdown on areas with pigmentation. It stays put on my face until I cleanse... It's by far the most satisfying product I've used so far. (I apply it thinly and in small amounts to specific areas.) For my dry skin, it doesn't look cakey, feels powdery soft, and I dare say it has the best texture.
ConsI've been satisfied for 2 months of use, but occasionally it can look a bit patchy around the mouth if my skin condition is poor or very dry. However, this doesn't happen if you exfoliate well and keep your skin hydrated!
TipIf you apply a thin layer just on areas with pigmentation after your sunscreen, your skin looks great.
