In winter, even emulsions cause intense itching. This year, I decided to try an oil and chose this body oil after comparing products on Hwahae. As it's my first time using oils, I prioritized hydration but didn't want something too sticky. I tested it at Olive Young and was pleasantly surprised by its lightness. It's a light oil that provides adequate moisture, suitable for both winter and summer use. - Application: There's a noticeable difference between applying it on dry skin versus slightly damp skin. It spreads much better on damp skin. For those with very dry skin, I recommend layering an emulsion on top for double the hydration. - Scent: It's a blend of leafy and minty notes, but not overly woody or neutral. It's quite universally appealing. Both a pro and a con - this product feels perfect for summer use. The scent, combined with an emulsion, creates an incredibly cooling sensation that's almost chilling. Definitely reserve this for summer use!
ConsCons: - Longevity: Due to its light texture, it doesn't last extremely long. In mid-winter, using the oil plus a body emulsion lasts about 10 hours (considering my extremely dry skin). For those with normal skin, the oil alone should be sufficient. - Quantity & Price: The amount seems a bit small for the price. It's best to wait for Olive Young sales. - After-effects: The mint ingredient creates a cooling sensation that can be too intense, especially in colder weather. After using it a few times, I've decided it's not suitable for the current season and plan to purchase a different scent.
