For oily skin, blackheads + acne-prone skin As someone with excessive sebum and very oily skin, I always have to use matte base products. This is my first time trying the Wake Make base product. ✅ Not once did I feel like it was too rich or greasy while using it. ✅ The staying power is quite impressive as well. ✅ The coverage is on the better side. There weren't any particular downsides. I'm 100% going to repurchase it. - hy*************Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 11, 2025
I have a lot of spots on my face and combination skin, so it's been hard to find something good. But after using this once, it's become my absolute holy grail! I seriously want to marry whoever created this! I don't really have any complaints, it's absolutely fantastic! If I had to nitpick though, it might pill a bit if you don't prep your skin well. It's amazing when mixed with serum! - cr*********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 9, 2025
The coverage is excellent, and it does a great job of concealing pores, which I really appreciate. As time passes, the makeup starts to separate, and for someone with dry skin like me, it looked far too dehydrating. - db*****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2025
As someone with extremely dry skin, this product didn't leave my face feeling tight even with just basic skincare When worn for long periods, it breaks down on the skin, requiring frequent touch-ups throughout the day - 7q********Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 6, 2025
As my first foundation, it barely caused any darkening and had great staying power. Without powder, it doesn't seem to set well... I had to use powder even in winter to make it last. - si******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsMay 3, 2025
When you buy this foundation as part of a set, it comes with a brush that's a perfect match! The two work together beautifully. The shade is quite light and it sets quickly when applied. If you're planning to buy it, definitely go for a shade darker. Also, unless you have oily skin, I'd recommend the Glow version instead of the Velvet one. - ah********RecommendedMay 3, 2025
Among all the foundations I've tried, this one stands out as the best at avoiding darkening and breaking down beautifully, while still being easy to touch up. I'm almost out and definitely planning to repurchase! Occasionally, it can cause blemishes... Upon closer inspection, I noticed it contains some ingredients that aren't great for sensitive skin. Also, while it initially applies smoothly with a moisturizing feel, it becomes extremely dry over time. I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin! - jd*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 2, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found the coverage wasn't exceptional, but with a good skincare base, it didn't look patchy at all. The best part? The glow it gives is absolutely stunning! The longevity was a bit disappointing, and I really wished the coverage was better. For those with combination dehydrated skin, you absolutely must set this with a fixing spray. The staying power is unfortunately quite poor. - lm******Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 28, 2025
No darkening and great adherence! It definitely doesn't darken the skin, so even after a long time, it maintains a radiant complexion It does tend to settle into pores. The coverage also doesn't seem to be very high
