This cleanser earned top marks from Director Pi, which instantly piqued my interest. It's a fragrance-free cleansing oil with a light consistency that glides smoothly over the skin. It does an impressive job of dissolving makeup and sunscreen. While it might struggle with waterproof formulas, it does manage to break down some of it. Once emulsified, the oil rinses off cleanly without leaving any residue. I've rarely experienced any burning sensation in my eyes when using it. Plus, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry after cleansing. It's not quite up to the task when faced with stubborn makeup. This cleanser doesn't significantly help in removing blackheads, whiteheads, or sebaceous filaments. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to agree with my skin type, as I've been experiencing a persistent outbreak of closed comedones. For your more resilient makeup, consider using a dedicated lip and eye makeup remover. - zh*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 28, 2023
Compared to other cleansing oils, this one dissolves makeup faster. Its lightweight formula spreads easily on the face, making it simple to remove makeup. I also appreciated its effectiveness in removing blackheads, which helped with pore care. I've tried many other cleansing oils, but this one was so good that I couldn't find any drawbacks. - a6*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 21, 2023
This is a secret weapon for banishing hidden pores... No dryness after use either! It might not be suitable for those with very oily skin - su********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedAug 13, 2023
I use cleansing oil daily due to my blackheads. After trying various products famous for tackling blackheads, I've settled on the Green Tomato Oil. 1. It's exceptional at removing blackheads. I typically massage for quite a while, over 5 minutes, without applying pressure, as my blackheads and nose skin are quite stubborn. Compared to other products, this one extracts blackheads much more effectively - you can easily see them rolling off onto your hands. 2. Fresh after-feel Even when rinsing with just water after emulsifying, it doesn't leave that 'not quite clean' feeling that some oils do. While it's not as squeaky clean as using a foam cleanser, it's the freshest feeling I've had with an oil cleanser. If you don't have extremely oily skin like me, you might not even need a second cleanse with foam. 3. No eye irritation Some products irritate my eyes even when I'm just using them on my nose and T-zone, forcing me to keep my eyes closed. But the Green Tomato Oil doesn't cause any eye irritation, which is great. 4. No oily smell Even though I'm not particularly sensitive to smells, most oil cleansers have at least a slight oily scent. Since we use it near our noses, it's quite noticeable. The Green Tomato Oil, however, is pleasantly odorless. There's nothing particularly bad, but the price is a bit higher than average cleansing oils when it's not on sale. I usually purchase it during discounts. - When emulsifying after oil cleansing or when washing your face, always use lukewarm or warm water. Oil, being oil, washes off more effectively with warm water than cold. - While I have to massage for a long time, this can inevitably damage the skin barrier. Make sure to use skincare products with soothing ingredients like cica or centella asiatica that help repair the skin barrier. - When oil cleansing, really try to relax your hands while massaging. Think of it as moving the oil over your skin rather than rubbing. If there are stubborn areas that bother you, use a soft makeup brush dedicated for oil cleansing, dip it in the oil, and gently roll it over those areas. - Using a steam towel or a sebum softener before oil cleansing can enhance the effects. It's good to set aside one day a week as a 'deep pore cleansing day' and do this routine.
