I heard I should be cautious about taking these due to my kidney stones, but it seems fine to gradually reduce the dosage from daily use. I've definitely noticed a decrease in fatigue, and I prefer these vitamins because the small pills are easy to swallow. Taking on an empty stomach can cause heartburn and nausea. It's a high dose at 10,000 IU, so you only need to take 2-3 per week. Since my job makes it difficult to get sunlight, I make sure to take these regularly. It's best not to take them on an empty stomach as it slows absorption and can be hard on your stomach. I recommend taking them with a fatty meal for better absorption. The ideal time is right after breakfast in the morning.

When I first tried vitamin D, I started with a lower dose to test it out. I can say it's not ineffective. It's particularly helpful for symptoms like depression or vertigo. I took these while preparing for pregnancy. The pill size is just right and I really like them. I can't think of any particular downsides. They're easy to take and I'm quite satisfied with them.

I've heard you need to take vitamin D separately, and I think Solgar's vitamin D is the best option out there The price isn't exactly cheap, which is a bit disappointing. I really like that the pills are small, which makes them easy to swallow. It's such a relief compared to larger pills that can feel uncomfortable going down. The only downside I can think of is the price. It's a bit on the expensive side, which is unfortunate.
