The packaging is really attractive. The texture feels firm, so it seems like it will last a long time. Considering the price point, the quality is a bit disappointing. The hydration power is rather weak. - 90*******Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 17, 2025
Moisturizing + subtly fragrant + incredibly fine-grained pearlescent particles make it great to apply before lip makeup If I had to find one shortcoming, it would be that the formulation is not very soft and is somewhat firm. - bu**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedMay 9, 2025
+ Lightweight The oil-based formula glides on smoothly. It feels like the texture melts gently into the lips. Even with multiple applications, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating. It adheres thinly, feeling light even after application. + Focus on shine and expression Even if some dead skin cells remain, it provides a beautiful glow without emphasizing them. It looks glossy and incredibly pretty. It's more like a lip glow to use with lipstick rather than a lip balm for exfoliation. + Perfect for gifting A go-to item that reduces the stress of choosing a suitable gift. While I personally find $50 a bit steep for a lip balm for myself, it feels like an appropriate price point for gifting - not too burdensome for either party. When you want to show thoughtfulness, the power of the brand really comes into play. It's one of the best gift options because it's colorless (avoiding preference issues), yet the brand reputation makes it seem appropriately thoughtful for both giving and receiving. I received it as an unexpected gift and use it well. - More coating than moisturizing It's not for exfoliation, but rather covers dead skin cells with a thin layer to conceal them. Smooth on the surface, lacking underneath. If you approach it as a product for beautiful lip expression rather than a functional moisturizer, you'll be satisfied. - Not compatible with matte looks Perhaps due to its oil-based nature, it reduces the longevity of matte lip products. However, it can make matte lips look more hydrated. - Nice to have, but not essential It's pretty, but not something I'd buy for myself. It's a product I'd use if received as a gift. For me, it seems to have the highest satisfaction when it's an unexpected gift item. Overall, I'm satisfied with it. However, there's a bit of irony in needing to use it alongside other lip balms. - hd******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 9, 2025
▪️In my opinion, the Chanel Coco Balm is the ultimate lip balm! I haven't found anything better yet. ▪️It absorbs beautifully, gliding on smoothly and providing deep hydration. ▪️The texture is smooth and clean without any stickiness. ▪️I'm currently on my 8th tube - that's how much I love this lip balm! ▪️The only downside might be the price point. It's expensive, but it works hard for your lips. ▪️When you've used up most of the balm, use a cotton swab to press the remaining product into a small container for application by hand. - ch********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRecommendedMar 3, 2025
I received this as a gift and I'm really enjoying it. It pairs perfectly with lip tints. When I use tints alone, my lips tend to get dry and flaky, but when I apply this over the tint like a lip balm, it gives a nice sheen and keeps my lips moisturized. (Without the glazed donut look) Certainly not the best value for money! I'm happily using it because it was a gift. While I wouldn't buy it with my own money, having a Chanel product in my makeup bag is satisfying in itself, so it's not a bad choice for gifting. As for daily use, it provides instant hydration, but the moisturizing effect doesn't last very long. For nighttime care, it can't compete with Vaseline. Since it's colorless, it works great over lip tints. I always carry it as a set with my Jung Saem Mool tint. - bl**********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJan 6, 2025
Review after 3 months of use: I received this as a birthday gift from a friend. True to its price point and brand, it's a solid lip balm without any bells and whistles. It feels like applying an expensive candle to your lips - in a good way! For a luxury product, it doesn't feel much different from an ordinary lip balm. It wears off quickly, so you'll need to carry it around and reapply often. - se*********Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 30, 2024
I highly recommend this product for its excellent absorption. Whenever my lips were dry or chapped, I applied it frequently. It beautifully restored my pale lips to a natural, pretty color. I'm extremely satisfied with the results. The only downside is that it contains quite a bit of glitter, which makes my lips look somewhat sparkly. However, it doesn't bother me too much, so I continue to use it. - ch**********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedSep 7, 2024
I received this as a gift and tried it for the first time. Initially, I thought it might be too oily and sit on top of my skin, but the hydration lasts for a long time and it really reduces dryness! There's nothing bad to say except for the price... It's just too expensive. Let's try to catch a duty-free shopping opportunity. - la******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 16, 2024
I looked up the ingredients for the first time today, and I'm relieved to see there's nothing particularly concerning. I've been using this regularly, but it has a bit of a scent. I wish it were fragrance-free. - ra****Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 9, 2024
As someone who can't live without lip balm, Chanel's Coco Lip Balm has been my go-to since college. I've easily gone through about 10 tubes, and using it again recently reminded me why it's superior to pharmacy brands or those sold at Olive Young. My lips are usually very dry, and most lip products get absorbed quickly, but Chanel's balm provides just the right amount of hydration without being sticky. While its staying power isn't the strongest, the added sun protection is a huge plus. I've been trying various brands like Musc**, Yur**, and Rit** lately, but I find myself reaching for the Coco Lip Balm more often than pharmacy products. If only the moisturizing effect lasted a bit longer... That's the only thing I find slightly disappointing. It's also suitable for application before bedtime.
