(The primer looks dirty in the photo, but that's because an eyeshadow broke in my makeup bag) This was my first primer, and using it made me realize how important primers are. I have dry skin, so my cushion foundation used to look very flaky, but after using this primer, it's less noticeable and my deep dryness has disappeared. Plus, the value for money is absolutely fantastic. Applying toner before the primer gives a richer feel. Using the primer "alone" feels a bit lacking! For those with super sensitive skin, it's always a good idea to patch test new products before applying them all over your face. This primer works hard to create a smooth base for your makeup, helping to even out your complexion and minimize the appearance of pores. It's moisturizing, the amount is just right, and it's adorably small. It wouldn't be a bad idea to give it a try at least once. To be honest, I didn't really notice any significant primer-like effects, and it was quite disappointing compared to what I expected. I'm not satisfied with it at all. I'd rather buy a different, more expensive primer instead.

But when I apply this, it noticeably reduces that cracking effect. I'm not sure about its effectiveness as a primer or any dramatic results. It seems to work hard to keep my complexion from looking flaky, which is a big plus for those of us battling dead skin cells and deep dryness. As a hydrating primer, it feels pretty standard, with a texture similar to an emulsion. While it's a hydrating primer, it doesn't seem to cover uneven skin texture very well. It definitely feels more hydrating and my makeup seems to settle better! Plus, it's a Daiso product, so I love how affordable it is! While the effects aren't dramatically noticeable, it's definitely more effective than not using anything at all! It's incredibly affordable since it's sold at Daiso. The texture is as smooth as a hydrating cream, absorbing effortlessly into the skin. When I applied the semi-matte base, I experienced deep dryness beneath the surface.
