This was my go-to brightening moisturizer until I found my holy grail. It not only evens skin tone but also has a slightly thick texture that provides great longevity. The compact size made it perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. There was a hint of darkening and dryness, but it's not bad for summer when you're sweating. I just apply it alone without foundation for a bare-faced look. - ko*********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 29, 2025
The adherence was pretty good. It's not like 'wow, this is amazing', but considering it's only $3, I can overlook some things. It doesn't leave any residue even when removed with a wet wipe. Surprisingly, it does a decent job of neutralizing yellow undertones when applied. While the product isn't exceptional, its value for money is great, which makes me consider repurchasing. However, those with very dry skin might not be fans. I found it applied more stiffly than expected. It's quite drying. You need to really layer on your skincare to prevent flaking. Using this alone is too drying for me to handle. It works well when mixed with an ampoule, serum, or a hydrating sunscreen. I'm currently mixing it with a pink-toned sunscreen. While it doesn't completely neutralize yellow undertones this way, it feels much more hydrating and pleasant to use. - im**************Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 15, 2025
The correcting effect is pretty good. The color is a bit light, but it still manages to neutralize yellow undertones well. If it had more of a purple tint, it would be perfect for brightening. However, it's not purple enough and feels a bit too light, so you really need to be careful with the amount you apply. Also, it's extremely thick - even though I have combination dehydrated skin and put a lot of effort into my skincare routine, it still feels quite heavy. That's why I mix it with a moisturizing sunscreen. This gives me the brightening effect while keeping my skin hydrated, and it helps my base makeup go on smoothly. It's also more convenient since it eliminates one step in my routine. - 67*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 14, 2025
I absolutely love it! The value for money is top-notch. Since it has a yellow undertone, it covers purple discoloration really well. I'm so impressed with how it naturally brightens my complexion. It's a bit drying. If you have dry skin, it might leave your skin feeling slightly parched. - 6k********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 25, 2025
As someone with a yellowish complexion, I decided to give this a try. It does an excellent job of neutralizing the yellow undertones. I'm really impressed! There's nothing bad to say. The quality you get for just 3000 won is truly legendary! - rl*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 24, 2025
It's great for mixing with yellow-toned foundations or those that cause severe darkening I can't think of any downsides. It's even convenient to carry around! - he*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 24, 2025
It goes on so naturally. Perfect for everyday use! The fact that you can easily find it at Daiso is definitely a plus! The amount is a bit small.. Be careful with application, or you might end up looking like a ghost! - 9g***Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
Even though it's a Daiso collaboration, it's still from Ipkun, right? That's great. The product is called a correcting base, so those reviews expecting coverage seem to misunderstand the product. As the name suggests, it's for evening out skin tone. I use it around my eyes and mouth where I have yellowish discoloration. It helps prevent those areas from looking dull when my skin darkens. No complaints. It does run out quickly, but the price is so good that I don't mind. - t2********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 2, 2025
It's easy to even out yellow undertones in specific areas. You can apply it thoroughly with just a small amount. If your skin texture isn't as smooth due to temperature or skin condition, it can feel like it's pilling when applied with other products like sunscreen or primer. For best results, try to cool down your skin after cleansing, apply your primer and sunscreen in very thin layers, and then spread this product evenly. - a9*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJan 1, 2025
Daiso is truly impressive... A base of this quality for just 3000 won? It applies beautifully and evens skin tone so naturally. Surprisingly, it doesn't cause any blemishes... Is that to be expected? I highly recommend this to fellow cool-toned folks with yellow undertones. It's a game-changer! The amount seems quite generous too. I've been using it for quite a while. Plus, it has a long shelf life, which is great! If there's one downside, it's the scent. There's a slight chemical smell that might bother some. But considering the value for money, I can overlook it. My routine: thorough skincare, then sunscreen, primer, and finally this base! I follow this formula religiously. Lately, I'm really satisfied with my makeup, thanks to this product. Pro tip: Instead of rubbing it in, pat it onto your skin to prevent pilling. That's the key!
