I've noticed foreign makeup artists always use a setting spray as a final touch. Honestly, I'm not sure how well it actually fixes makeup, but it might come in handy on days when you're heading out for a long time and your appearance is crucial. When I sprayed it on, it felt just like a regular facial mist. Nothing really bad to say. I'm skeptical about how well it actually sets makeup. If I received it as a gift, I'd probably use it, but it doesn't feel like an essential item I'd go out of my way to purchase. - kw*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 5, 2023
I've been using only skin mists, not fixers, for over 6 years now. Since this is from a brand I love, I decided to try their new mist. It gives a nice glow and feels hydrating. The scent is subtle, and the spray is decent. I'd recommend this for those who feel their skin is as dry as a desert. My skin tends to break out or get red and irritated if anything clogs my pores even slightly. That's why I've only been using the Dear Dahlia pore primer instead of fixers. While this mist does help with makeup longevity to some extent, it makes my face feel excessively oily (I have oily skin with high sebum production). Mists just don't work for me. However, it does give a nice glow and feels hydrating, which is good. I tested it by spraying once before makeup and once after. Using it this way seemed to improve adherence and longevity a bit. For those like me who struggle with makeup that fades quickly and excessive oil production, a more mattifying product might be better suited. On the other hand, if you have extremely dry skin that feels tight and flaky, this hydrating mist could be perfect for you. - kh********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 27, 2023
I received this as a gift from a friend, and it's my first time using a fixing spray. I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly, but here's how I apply it: I spray it on my puff when applying base makeup, then mist it all over after finishing. After applying powder, blush, contour, and highlighter, I spray again. For eye makeup, I mist just the eye area after finishing everything except mascara, let it dry, then apply mascara. Finally, I spray it on my lips after lip makeup. Although I might use it up quickly due to frequent application, the makeup longevity is incredible! It seems to maintain the initial look almost perfectly. As someone with oily skin, I often struggled with base makeup melting, settling into pores, or flaking off. With this spray, while there's still slight melting, it doesn't settle into pores or flake off. The fine mist applies evenly without dripping or irritating the eyes when sprayed over makeup. Its compact size makes it easy to carry, and the simple, pretty design is a plus. I honestly can't think of any downsides to this product!
