You need to adjust the consistency with water. Being a novice, I realized that as time passed, it hardened, so when doing it alone, I'll need to be quicker. Starting with a slightly wetter mix (but not runny) might be better. Since it's pre-portioned, if you get the water ratio right, despite the hassle, the cooling effect is amazing! It seems like a must-have for summer. After cleansing and applying serum, I layered it on. If you use too much serum, the mask might fall off, so let the serum absorb before mixing the mask.
ConsThe powder flies around when mixing. For beginners, it's challenging to get the right consistency (it hardens). While convenient, it might not be the best for the environment.
TipMix it quickly like you're whisking scrambled eggs. If you go slow, it'll harden. Dividing it into two portions makes the process faster. When applying to your face, start from the bottom and work your way up for easier amount control.

While it has less of a cooling effect and intense sensation compared to tea tree, my skin feels more comfortable. It's great for days when I have excess oil production or have been exposed to a lot of sun.
ConsAs I experienced with the tea tree version, there's a serious issue with excess powder... It's better to transfer it to a different container instead of the ziplock bag to reduce this problem.

While it has a slight scent, it wasn't off-putting at all. It's just as refreshing as the cooling version and cuts easily, which I really appreciate. I plan to keep using this product in the future.
ConsThere's a bit of excess powder, but I suppose that's unavoidable with this type of product.

The cooling effect is great for soothing my skin!
ConsIt's all good except you have to be careful when opening and closing due to the excess powder flying around!

I originally used Lindsay Tea Tree, but decided to try this product. Dermatologists often recommend finishing with a modeling mask, saying it's better for sensitive skin than sheet masks. I'm satisfied with this purchase - it's pleasantly cooling and the scent is nice.
ConsThere's a bit of excess powder when applying. The rubber bowl and spatula that come gratis with the product are quite disappointing.
TipIt's better to purchase a separate rubber bowl and spatula for use with this product.

The texture is impressively fine.
ConsThere's quite a bit of excess powder, and after use, my skin feels ever so slightly oily.

While I mainly use the tea tree line from the same brand, I switch to charcoal when I want more hydration rather than soothing effects. True to its modeling mask nature, it instantly boosts moisture levels, which I love. The Hwahae Testers would approve!
ConsThe excess powder can be a bit messy, but that's a common issue with all modeling masks. Apart from that, I have no complaints! If I think of anything else while using it, I'll be sure to add it.

After cleansing, since I have oily skin, I skipped toner and mixed the mask with the included ampoule in a 50ml:40ml ratio. I applied it and left it on for about 15 minutes before peeling it off. The mask did an excellent job controlling oil all over my face. The next morning, when I usually would need to use blotting paper and it would be soaked, there was hardly any oil! It's definitely effective for oil control.
ConsThe downside is that the powder can be a bit messy. I recommend laying down a towel if you're using it in your room.
TipBesides the ampoule, you can also mix the modeling mask with water in a 1:1 ratio. For an extra boost, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil. When applying, make sure to spread it evenly and not too thinly on your cheeks, forehead, and chin. This will help it peel off in one piece. For any stubborn bits, use a toner pad to gently remove them before continuing with your skincare routine.

It's hard to tell after just one use, but I think I'll need to use it consistently to see results! While it may vary for each person, I find the mask peels off nicely.
ConsThe mask bowl that comes with it is too hard and small, making it difficult to mix the powder without creating a mess. Aside from that, I'm satisfied.
