It was incredibly hydrating, and it came with a spatula inside, making it super easy to mix and get the right consistency. Even though I have sensitive skin, it worked really well for me, so I definitely recommend it!
ConsAfter it dried, the hydration didn't last very long. It felt like the moisture from the mask evaporated quickly. Compared to other modeling masks, the hydration level was a bit disappointing.
TipThe mask provides ample product for multiple applications, which is great for value. Its hydrating properties and included spatula make for a user-friendly experience, especially for those with sensitive skin. However, the lasting power of the hydration could be improved, as the skin doesn't retain moisture for long after use. This might be a drawback for those seeking long-lasting hydration effects from their modeling masks.

You need to adjust the consistency with water. Being a novice, I realized that as time passed, it hardened, so when doing it alone, I'll need to be quicker. Starting with a slightly wetter mix (but not runny) might be better. Since it's pre-portioned, if you get the water ratio right, despite the hassle, the cooling effect is amazing! It seems like a must-have for summer. After cleansing and applying serum, I layered it on. If you use too much serum, the mask might fall off, so let the serum absorb before mixing the mask.
ConsThe powder flies around when mixing. For beginners, it's challenging to get the right consistency (it hardens). While convenient, it might not be the best for the environment.
TipMix it quickly like you're whisking scrambled eggs. If you go slow, it'll harden. Dividing it into two portions makes the process faster. When applying to your face, start from the bottom and work your way up for easier amount control.

It's a great value for money, with good ingredients and effective results. The amount needed depends on face size - I use a generous amount as I have a larger face and prefer a thicker application. I didn't experience any tightness during use. After removing, my skin feels slightly more hydrated and refreshed. My pores seem a bit tighter too. With consistent use, I think it could really help with pore management. I'll update with before and after photos when I can capture them - I'm usually too focused on mixing and applying quickly before the mask sets!
ConsIt doesn't mix easily with water and tends to set quickly, so you need to apply it rapidly.
TipMix with water and apply as fast as you can!

I was already using the tea tree one, which I love for its cooling effect and soothing properties. While the charcoal didn't tighten my pores as much as I'd hoped, it still has a nice cooling sensation, though not as intense as the tea tree. The best part is that I can use it without any blemishes popping up on my super sensitive skin.
ConsCompared to the tea tree mask, you need to use less product as it tends to drip easily. It takes a while to set, but the edges dry out too quickly, making it tricky to peel off cleanly and leaving some residue behind. Also, the charcoal color stained the mixing bowl I use for my masks.
TipI've started mixing equal parts of the tea tree and charcoal masks. This way, I get both the cooling effect and the pore-refining benefits in one go!

ConsUnfortunately, the modeling mask hardened too quickly.

Here's what I found: 1. The cooling effect is slightly less intense, but otherwise, the feel is similar. Interestingly, mixing water with cactus gel feels more refreshing than using the gratis ampoule they provided! 2. While it takes a bit longer to dissolve, it solidifies slower than the tea tree version, making it easier to achieve the right consistency.
Cons1. It takes time to dissolve. It doesn't melt as easily as the tea tree one, requiring more stirring. However, since it solidifies more slowly, you have enough time to apply it even after all the granules have dissolved. 2. Be careful not to get it on your clothes due to its color. 3. There's some eye irritation when used near the eyes. Apply sparingly around the under-eye area.
TipMixing with aloe or cactus gel makes it more hydrating and easier to peel off. (I recommend Yada Cactus Soothing Gel) Apply thickly around the edges for easier removal. Beginners might find it helpful to practice with a slightly thicker consistency. As it's heavier than a sheet mask, lie down immediately after application.

It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plump with moisture. The included spoon makes it easy to control the water ratio, making it very convenient to use.
ConsIt hardens a bit faster than expected, so you need some skill when applying. Even after application, I feel it sets quite quickly.

ConsLike most modeling masks, it hardens quickly and can be tricky to clean up if you buy in bulk. But that's just the nature of modeling masks, and the effectiveness of this product more than makes up for it.

While the effects aren't dramatically instant, it's like magic after each use. My sister saw me using it and wanted to try it herself - that's how good it is! The cooling effect after application is also fantastic.
ConsHowever, if you take too long to apply it, the mask can harden and become difficult to use. It might be a bit challenging at first, but you'll get the hang of it. Be cautious if you have respiratory issues, as there's unavoidable excess powder when mixing.
TipWhen mixing, a ratio of 1:0.8 (powder to water) works best! If you add too much water, the mask will keep dripping.

The tea tree was too harsh for me, but the charcoal is just right - it's gentle and feels great on the skin. Using it with an ampoule is an absolute must for best results!
ConsThere's a lot of excess powder that flies around, and when it dries, the thin areas are really difficult to remove. Since it's made with diatomaceous earth, the surface hardens, so using an ampoule is essential.
