As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I highly recommend this for summer use! The velvety texture is absolutely divine. Even when it starts to wear off, it does so gracefully. This is my holy grail cushion foundation. The coverage is exceptional for a cushion - truly top-notch! In winter, it tends to accentuate dead skin cells a bit, which is why I prefer using it more in summer. Here's my personal tip: It's better suited for summer than winter. In colder months, it can look a bit patchy on the skin, unfortunately. - dr********Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 15, 2025
As someone who's used the Espoir cushion multiple times, I can say the coverage is absolutely insane. It covers redness beautifully, and the way it enhances your complexion is just... wow. No settling into nose creases either. I have oily skin, but with a good powder touch-up later, it doesn't darken much. I love it so much I even bought the mini cushion too! There wasn't really anything I disliked about it. If I had to nitpick, while the coverage is great, it doesn't quite conceal things like freckles, so you might need to use a concealer for those. The Hwahae Testers would likely appreciate this cushion for its excellent coverage and ability to even out the complexion. It seems to work well for combination dehydrated skin types, providing a nice glow without causing blemishes or irritation. The fact that it doesn't settle into pores is a big plus. For those seeking a brightening moisturizer effect with good absorbing power, this cushion sounds like a great option. - 82********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 15, 2025
The coverage is truly impressive, and the adherence to the skin isn't bad at all. It's too thick, and while it might work well for oily skin, I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. - p9********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRecommendedJun 14, 2025
The coverage is probably the best I've experienced among all the cushions I've tried so far (including Laneige Neo, Espoir Be Natural, Clio Kill Cover, and April Skin Hero). What impressed me most was its longevity - it lasted longer than others and showed less breakdown throughout the day. Understandably, when used during summer, it tends to break down a bit more quickly, and you might notice some makeup coming off. It works best when paired with a good setting powder that locks everything in place. - pe*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 14, 2025
The coverage is decent and the shade matches my complexion perfectly, giving a natural look. It's way too drying... If you don't prep your skin properly, it really accentuates flakiness. I think those with dry skin might struggle to use this product. - 7i*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedJun 14, 2025
I've been using this for about two weeks now, and I'm impressed! The coverage is quite good, and it adheres well to the skin. With just a thorough base application, I don't need any touch-ups throughout the school day. I think I've found my holy grail product! It doesn't break down unattractively and gives a natural-looking skin finish. I highly recommend it! First off, it's quite pricey - you might want to stock up during sales. Also, it doesn't completely cover redness or blemish marks. These areas tend to have a slight purplish tint. However, if you don't have extremely red areas, the coverage is pretty decent. If you apply a light mist before using this product, the staying power is fantastic and it makes your skin look absolutely beautiful. - le*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 13, 2025
I have combination dehydrated skin!! In my experience, the pros are: It has a velvety, powder-soft finish without any stickiness. It seems to adhere thinly and evenly to the skin without much caking. The coverage is great and it doesn't transfer much! The coverage is so good that I hardly need to use concealer anymore. The puff is thick, making it difficult to clean. While it feels moisturizing at first, over time it can lead to deep dryness, which might be challenging for those with dry skin. If you dislike a matte finish, you probably won't enjoy this. To prevent deep dryness, it's best to apply this on top of a hydrating and nourishing skincare base. - jm********Oily SkinRecommendedJun 13, 2025
The coverage is really excellent, and it would be perfect for those with oily skin. Due to its matte finish, it feels a bit thick. Those with dry skin might find it quite drying. - ye*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 13, 2025
Since I couldn't carry around the same shade of foundation for touch-ups, I used to bring this cushion compact with me. Naturally, it wasn't as effective as foundation for covering blemishes, pigmentation, or pores. But after this recent renewal, it's become absolutely fantastic! While pore coverage is still limited due to the nature of the applicator, just one dab is enough to control the amount and cover blemishes and pigmentation effectively. The most noticeable change is the new textured surface on the cushion cover, making it easier to control the amount of product. In my opinion, the most significant improvement is in its coverage power. The pore coverage is still somewhat lacking. I'll probably need to use a primer. - tl*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 12, 2025
First off, I was absolutely smitten with the ethereally shimmering packaging! The luminous base color was just as satisfying as the packaging. I loved the perfect brightness of shade 21, which gives a natural complexion when applied. Although it's a matte cushion, it initially adheres to the skin with just the right amount of hydration, giving a nice setting feel. I'd recommend this more for oily and combination skin types than for dry skin! Among all the cushions I've tried, this one has such excellent staying power that you don't even need a makeup fixer. Even after 8 hours, there was minimal darkening. Except for the eye and forehead areas, the way it wore off was still pretty, which I found very satisfying! Personally, I found the coverage to be a bit lighter than I had expected. It didn't conceal blemishes or acne scars very well, and while I thought it might cover dark circles, it actually seemed to make them look more bluish, which was disappointing in terms of coverage. Also, the more I used the cushion, the more it seemed to separate on my skin, even with a good base, which was another downside. However, in terms of longevity, application, and achieving a beautiful brightening effect, I think this product is really perfect. For a beautiful skin finish, you need to apply it thinly! If you try to achieve coverage by applying it too thickly, your base will deteriorate and won't wear off nicely. The puff is designed to help you apply a thin layer - it's soft and thin, showing how Espoir truly cares about their customers.
