Be careful not to apply too much at once, as it can cause your base makeup to lift. Even with gentle application, it seems to inevitably make the foundation underneath peel off. I found a way to minimize base makeup lifting: use a tiny amount of product and gently pat it in with a finger puff, using the lightest touch possible. This technique helps prevent the foundation from peeling off.
