I received this as a gift from a friend. The color is lovely and it's not shiny. It's great for shading. I used it well for a while, but I stopped using it because I ran out of refills. There's nothing wrong with the product itself.

I'd use this shade for eyeliner or as a contour shadow in the outer corner of the eye. Romantic Holiday doesn't seem to have a base color, but it's packed with pink shimmer and a touch of silver. Its texture differs from Brown Hero - it's a bit sticky, but the adherence is amazing! I'll be using Romantic Holiday as an aegyo-sal (under-eye) shadow. It also works great as a shadow base or main color - it's so sparkly! The Berry Shadow pencils are super convenient to use. No need for brushes, so no brush cleaning either! The color payoff is fantastic - one swipe gives you vibrant color. I'm really impressed! The most important point: unlike powder shadows that can have fallout issues, these pencils obviously don't have that problem. This means they'll likely have better staying power too. You can create both glittery and matte looks with these shadow pencils. They're easy to use - just draw on your lids like you're sketching, and you've got a complete eye look. They've really combined the best of powder shadows and pencils into one product. Berry Shadow is awesome! It's a bit inconvenient and annoying that you need a special sharpener for these pencils.
