It's a unique pH-balanced foam cleanser containing salicylic acid, which is not commonly found in cleansers. It's on the pricier side, and I wouldn't recommend it to those looking for a foam cleanser with high cleansing effectiveness. - il*****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDec 28, 2024
This product has more drawbacks than advantages. What could be its strong point? Well, there's just one - it has a tea tree scent. First off, it really stings the eyes. I'm not sure which ingredient is responsible, but the area around the eyes feels as if it's burning, like when you apply a pain relief patch. The lather is also extremely poor. Even considering it's a low pH cleanser, there's barely any foam at all. Despite trying to bear with it, using it for three consecutive days leaves my entire face feeling irritated. Since I absolutely can't use it on my face, I occasionally use it to wash my feet. But even for that, the lack of lather makes it quite unsatisfactory. This is the first product I've encountered where I'm not at all disappointed about its discontinuation. - mg****Dry SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2024
It's gentle on the skin. I have extremely dry skin with atopic dermatitis, but I was able to use this comfortably both morning and night without any issues. There wasn't really anything disappointing about it! If I had to nitpick, I might say the container opening is a bit wide. - pb******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRecommendedSep 27, 2024
✓ Less of the slippery residue typical of low pH cleansers ✓ Noticeably less skin tightness I'm using the entire Athe line, but this is the item I'm least satisfied with. Compared to similar low pH cleansers, I can't really feel much difference to justify the price - why is it so expensive? Due to the lack of rich lather typical of low pH products, I end up using a lot. I do use it with the included konjac sponge to create a proper foam, but it's quite challenging to lather up with just hands (low pH products generally have thin, fluffy foam... personal preference, some like it, some don't). There are other low pH products with pretty good cleansing effectiveness, but this one can't even remove a light sunstick on its own. - an*******Dry SkinAcne SkinSep 20, 2024
I bought this after seeing it on Shorts, but it's just okay. It's like any other foam cleanser, nothing more, nothing less. The cleansing effectiveness, feel, scent, and functionality are all average. There's nothing particularly good about it, but nothing bad either. I won't be repurchasing. There's nothing specifically wrong with it, but compared to other products, I just can't find any advantages, so I feel like I wasted my money. It doesn't seem to suit me well. Those with combination dehydrated skin should take note of my review. - ha********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessDead Skin CellsJun 11, 2024
Nothing particularly special about it. It's just a regular foam cleanser, that's all. When I used it on my super sensitive skin, it felt a bit tingling and increased the redness around my nose. - po*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 20, 2024
As a low-foam cleanser, it leaves a nice hydrated feeling on the skin. Even after a while, there's minimal tightness, making for a comfortable experience. The lack of foam might be a drawback for those who prefer a lathering cleanser, as you may end up using more product to compensate. - 57*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2024
1. Scent Nearly fragrance-free. Hardly any noticeable smell. 2. Texture The feel is between a fluffy whipped cream and a gel cleanser. It glides smoothly when rubbed with hands. The user experience is among the best of all cleansing foams I've tried. 3. Cleansing effectiveness It doesn't excel at deep cleansing. I used cleansing oil for the first cleanse and this Atté cleansing foam for the second. There was quite a bit of residue left, and after washing, I could still feel a slippery sensation from leftover sunscreen on my face. 4. Suitable for sensitive skin: NO Even before considering sensitive skin, this product makes my eyes sting so much. Even when I try to keep my eyes tightly closed while cleansing, the eye area burns. It's been a while since I've used such an irritating product. 5. Acne improvement When using a cleansing product containing salicylic acid and BHA, the main expectation is skin or acne improvement. I didn't see any notable effects. After use, the eye area feels very hot and irritated. Not recommended for people with sensitive skin. Even for someone who doesn't have particularly sensitive skin, it was this bad... - c4*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedApr 1, 2024
The particles are so fine that it lathers up well and seems to cleanse effectively. I can't find any downsides for my use. Since I wear makeup daily, I consider cleansing to be extremely important. It seems to work well even when using just a small amount. - pr**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 3, 2024
The foam is light and forms quickly. Unlike foams with AHA/BHA exfoliating ingredients for pores, this one seems to soothe the skin more rapidly. I wouldn't recommend this for oily skin types that need sebum control. It's better suited for sensitive skin or as a second-step cleanser. When your skin becomes sensitive, try using a slightly acidic cleanser with soothing ingredients instead of your regular one. If you can forgo that squeaky-clean feeling for a few days after cleansing, your skin seems to calm down quickly.
