For me, this is a plus as it causes less skin tightness, but I can see how this might be a matter of personal preference. I've been using it consistently and can't really find any downsides. The only thing is, while it's supposed to be fragrance-free, I detected a slight clay-like scent. It wasn't bothersome, but if I had to nitpick, I'd mention the scent. When wearing makeup, I found it works best as a second cleanse after using a cleansing oil. This combo ensures no residue is left and provides a thorough cleanse. Also, being mildly acidic, it wasn't irritating, and I felt it left my skin feeling hydrated..!! However, for someone like me with large pores and accumulated sebum, I need to create a lot of foam for deep cleansing. Unfortunately, this gel cleanser's weakness was noticeable in that aspect. When I received the Begreen Rice Wash Cleanser, I was thrilled because I thought it would be mild! As expected, when I used it, it cleansed effectively with just the right amount of lather, without leaving my face feeling too dry or tight. It's perfectly balanced - I'd call it a smartly formulated cleanser with moisturizing cleansing power. It seems like an excellent cleanser for gentle daily use! The packaging design looks a bit like a drugstore cleanser, which is slightly disappointing. I feel like this product deserves to shine more... When I used it as a second cleanse after a cleansing balm, it rinsed off cleanly without any residue, leaving my skin feeling moisturized. One of the main advantages I noticed with this product is that it leaves no residue! With other cleansing gels, no matter how much I rinsed, there was always some residue left, which made me feel uncomfortable and caused blemishes. But this product cleanses thoroughly without leaving any residue, which I absolutely love! Also, I really dislike strong fragrances or products with artificial scents, but this one has a very subtle, almost fragrance-free scent, which makes me reach for it often. It cleanses well without drying out the skin, and being a low pH product, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after washing - that's a huge plus! The price seems reasonable too. Overall, this product is straightforward and effective without any unnecessary frills. I think others would enjoy trying it as well! I'm extremely satisfied! This is my first time using a gel-type cleanser. * Excellent cleansing effectiveness Although it looked transparent, which made me think it might not cleanse well, I once used it for double cleansing when I ran out of cleansing oil. I was amazed that it removed mascara completely. It turned out to be stronger than it looked! * Subtle fragrance To me, it had a very slight peach-like scent. I liked that the fragrance was subtle and not overpowering. * Not too drying While many cleansers can leave your skin feeling very dry after washing, this one didn't have that effect to a significant degree. It doesn't lather as much as I expected. I was worried the lack of foam might reduce its cleansing effectiveness, but as I mentioned above, it removed mascara well, so I'm satisfied.
