  The texture is just right - not too thick, not too thin! It absorbs quickly upon application, leaving your skin feeling instantly hydrated. The absorption rate seems to be on the faster side!

  Cons

  After absorption, there's a slight feeling of richness left on the skin. This might be great for those with dry skin! While it's marketed as a firming ampoule, I'm not quite sure about that aspect.

  Tip

  Seems like a great starter product for anti-aging..! Great value for money First off, the huge volume and reasonable price when on sale is more than just good... These functional ampoules are usually hard to try because they come in small amounts with high price tags, but this one's perfect for a light introduction. Gentle on sensitive skin While I'll need to use it longer to be sure, my skin's been reacting to everything lately, so I was worried about this too. But after 3 days, no adverse reactions, so that's a relief for now!! I'll need to keep an eye on it for about a month to see if it stays okay. (Update) After using it for a while, I noticed some blemishes popping up. Not sure if it's because of the rich texture or if the ingredients are irritating, but I ended up discontinuing use! It might be okay in the dead of winter, but I wouldn't recommend it for combination dehydrated or oily skin types!! Improved skin texture I've only been using this for 3 days, but I can feel my skin texture becoming smoother, especially when washing my face. I've only changed this in my skincare routine, and I'm already noticing a difference..!

  Acne Well, I was hoping it would help calm down my acne, but even after 5 days, there's no noticeable effect... Maybe with more use, but that's disappointing. Oiliness For those with oily skin, this might be too much and could make your skin super greasy.. I have combination dehydrated skin, and when I apply this followed by a moisturizer before bed, my skin feels quite oily the next morning. If you have combination dehydrated or oily skin, you might want to follow this with just a very light cream.

  Here's my review after using this product intermittently for two months. I have sensitive combination skin prone to acne, and I often experience allergies to fragrances and natural oils. 1. Bakuchiol I wanted a bakuchiol product for times when I didn't feel like grabbing retinol from the fridge during the day. This product was the perfect choice, offering the right ingredients at a reasonable price. Bakuchiol, similar to retinol, provides anti-aging benefits but with less irritation, making it ideal for daytime use or when my skin feels sensitive. Both my sensitive combination skin and my mother's sensitive dry skin experienced no blemishes. 2. Hydration As someone with very dehydrated skin, I prefer rich, highly moisturizing cosmetics, and this product delivers exactly that. It contains just the right amount of oil, providing deep hydration both inside and out, especially when applied at night. My mother loved this aspect so much that she 'borrowed' it, praising how soft and supple it made her skin feel. 3. Value for money The volume is incredibly generous. While most ampoules come in 30ml, or at most 50ml (with special large sizes at 80ml), this product offers a whopping 100ml. It seems never-ending! I thought it was the size of a toner bottle. My mother has been using two pumps at a time, and we've only used about a quarter of it.

  1. Oiliness While I don't mind products with oil, it can be a bit much before applying makeup. It definitely leaves an oily finish and can feel a bit heavy under makeup. 2. Comparison to Retinol As it's less irritating, it doesn't seem to provide the immediate effects of retinol. I didn't experience the overnight exfoliation and skin refinement that retinol typically provides. It's best thought of as a deeply hydrating, anti-aging ampoule for long-term use rather than quick results.

  If you have dry, sensitive skin or combination dehydrated skin that can handle some oil, I'd recommend trying the Hwahae sample if available.

  This is the most hydrating ampoule I've used recently. As someone with dry skin, I've found that regular hydrating ampoules seem to evaporate quickly no matter how much I apply.
