The fine particles allow for gentle exfoliation of dead skin cells without causing much irritation. It seems to be due to the sugar scrub nature of the product! The fragrance is overwhelmingly strong. Perhaps it's because it's not a scent I personally prefer... The particles are similar in size to Tree Hut's, and the fragrance is lovely. The complimentary silver spoon is nice, but I wish the handle was a bit longer.
