Based on my experience using it from 2023 to 2025, the Hwahae Toner is great!! The formula is a bit heavier than a typical toner, and it has a dense, creamy texture. If you apply it 2-3 times lightly before makeup, it helps the makeup apply well. It's not irritating to the skin, and it also works well as a pack when applied to a cotton pad.

This is not quite sufficient for nighttime care, but it's perfect for the pre-makeup stage.

Applying it after cleansing and in the first step makes it feel plump and smooth, allowing makeup to apply well and perform great.

There may be a slight stickiness, but it's fine if you absorb it well.

Honestly, when you apply this, in the winter the base never cakes up, and instead, the skin seems to grip the base really moisturly. I have a combination skin type, so my cheeks are a bit dry, and if I don't do exfoliation even for a day, my skin really tends to flake a lot. But on the days I used this toner, it never cracked or caked up.

After exfoliating, apply it once to let it absorb, and then apply it one more time. The next day, your skin will truly become baby-soft. Exfoliating is a must at least once a week.

While it is excellent for improving skin texture, it does not really address issues like enlarged pores, whitening, acne, or pigmentation.

At first, it applies a bit wobbly and slippery, but as it absorbs, it becomes smooth and supple. After applying it for the first time and waking up the next day, the skin texture improves tremendously, and even when washing your face, it feels as soft as a baby's skin.
