I used to have normal skin, but after misusing retinol, my melasma worsened, my complexion became sallow, and I developed contact dermatitis as a side effect. I had to get oral medication and steroid ointments from a dermatologist. It's only been two weeks since I recovered, and as a result, my skin became extremely sensitive and dry. Before using this sunscreen, I read all the reviews on Hwahae and saw no major drawbacks, so I bought two. I regret not trying a sample first. The application is excellent, and there's no white cast initially. It spreads easily and absorbs within 1-2 minutes, which is great. After about 30 minutes, my face became a bit shiny, and there was a slight tingling sensation, but it was generally okay.
ConsAs my face became shiny, I assume the sunscreen was melting due to my body heat. Since I have melasma near my eyes, I naturally applied sunscreen there, but it caused some eye irritation. After 5 hours, I reapplied, and there was a slight white cast. I thought it would improve over time, so I waited an hour and tried to spread it with clean hands, but it pilled up like dirt, leaving my face patchy. Although it claims to be easy to wash off, I had to use cleansing tissues twice and then wash with a low pH foam cleanser. It doesn't suit my skin, even though the ingredients seem good. I applied it twice today at 9 AM and 2 PM, and I've already used half the tube. It's 50ml, and you can see how much is left by holding it up to a light. The slightly emulsion-like texture seems to make it run out quickly.
TipAs a sunscreen nomad, I've learned that no matter how good a product is, it's useless if it doesn't suit your skin. If there's any helpful advice, it's that trying sunscreen samples first is probably the wisest approach.

It's so convenient for outings - no need to pack separate products for everyone, just grab this one and go. It applies smoothly with a gentle glide, and thanks to its safe ingredients and no white cast, both kids and husbands can easily apply it for everyday use, not just outdoor activities. For children who really dislike cleansing, it's great that a simple rinse with water gets their skin clean.
ConsIn my case, when reapplying after a few hours, I noticed a slight pilling effect. It was a bit disappointing, possibly due to natural oils surfacing on the skin over time. For extended outdoor stays, it would be nice to have stick or cushion options that are easier to apply on-the-go, in addition to this emulsion type.
TipIt's a basic tip, but when reapplying, make sure to remove excess oil from your face first. This helps the product absorb better for a more hydrated feel.

What I loved most was how quickly it absorbs and doesn't cause any stinging or eye irritation. I'm using it with my baby. The ingredients are generally good. I'm really satisfied with this product.
ConsPersonally, I found it a bit disappointing that it pills slightly after applying makeup. It might be better suited for babies only. Also, there's a slight artificial fragrance to it.
TipThis sunscreen seems perfect for babies. I appreciated how quickly it absorbs. The ingredients are good, and I plan to order it again next time.

Has a subtle baby powder and ointment scent. Although it's an organic sunscreen, the gentle ingredients make it suitable for babies and pregnant women. Being organic, it doesn't leave a white cast. The initial feeling is moisturizing, but it becomes more powdery over time, reducing stickiness.
ConsIt washes off easily with sweat. My mom with very dry skin felt deep dryness. While the kids didn't experience it, I noticed some pilling and rolling when applying it on myself.
TipIt's great for children to use.

This sunscreen is incredibly moisturizing and absorbs well with a fresh feel. I'm currently using a foundation from a snail cream brand, and while I've been using I brand's sunscreen which feels nice overall, it tends to make my skin look oily, requiring a quick powder touch-up. This one, however, has less shine, so I only need to lightly touch up the areas where I want to reduce the glow. I love the non-sticky finish! As a children's sunscreen, the 'easy wash' feature is fantastic. The high SPF and low recommended age range really give the impression that it's tailored for children's delicate skin. A major advantage is that it can be easily removed with just a primary cleanse! This easy-wash feature is an absolute plus for kids. For adults, while it may vary from person to person, it's also great for applying on areas like the neck. (I've become quite interested in children's skincare products lately as my skin has become more sensitive.) The packaging is a sturdy plastic tube, which seems convenient to use. I also appreciate the design that allows you to note the opening date on the package. While it appears to be a pure white cream, it feels more like an emulsion when applied. There's no white cast and no eye irritation, making it great for children to use. The smooth application makes it easy for kids to apply on their own, and it absorbs quickly with a moisturizing finish. 1. The photo shows the texture 2. I gently rubbed it on one side. It's as smooth as an emulsion. 3. This shows the state after rubbing for absorption. 4-5. The tube packaging! 6. I applied it on my cheek to show you how it doesn't leave an excessively shiny finish.
ConsTo be honest, I don't have any complaints. The only thing I'd mention, which is common to all sunscreens, is the need to spread it evenly. If it's left clumped, it might cause makeup to pill.
TipIt's important to spread the sunscreen evenly to prevent clumping! I found that applying a thin layer and then adding more gives the best feel. It's not completely matte, so keep that in mind based on your personal preference.

When first applied, the product's color is visible, but after a few rubs, it blends seamlessly without any white cast, preserving your natural complexion. As someone who sweats a lot except in mid-winter, I've found many sunscreens sting my eyes when I sweat and cause blemishes after half a day if they don't suit my skin. This product didn't sting my eyes or cause any blemishes. It's perfect for days when you're staying indoors. It's also gentle enough to rub on a child's face. My 5-year-old uses it, and it washes off easily with just a primary cleanse. It's a great daily option for the whole family.
ConsThis isn't a product that feels like you're wearing nothing. Subjectively, some might find the finish moisturizing, while others might find it sticky. I personally felt a slight stickiness right after application. I usually apply cream, then sunscreen, then powder before going out. While there was no makeup separation or pilling when I applied powder, by evening, when I rubbed my face, I noticed some product coming off like dead skin cells. I think it might work better when used alone rather than under makeup.
TipSunscreen is essential even when you're not going out. For those lazy days when you can't be bothered to wash your face, give this a try.

I used this product with my child for about ten days. 1. Great ingredients The ingredients are so good that I felt comfortable applying it to my child's skin. Naturally, there was no eye irritation. 2. Cleanses well It lives up to its claim of being a sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and cleanses off easily. Since I use oil cleansing as my first step, it washes off very well. For my child, who can't use oil, we use cleansing water, and after cleansing, there's no slippery residue - their skin feels smooth after washing. 3. Not drying Perhaps because the formula encapsulates the oil in a moisture barrier, it doesn't feel drying after application. However, it's not exactly hydrating, but more of an oily moistness.
Cons1. Shininess While it's great that there's no white cast, perhaps because the product encapsulates oil, it leaves the skin very shiny after application. The sunscreen glow is quite intense! I even had to use a matte powder to tone down the shine. It works well in combination with matte products. For my child, the sunscreen glow was almost too much. 2. Pilling It can pill even with a matte powder on top. You need to apply less skincare underneath. Initially, I applied moisturizer, then this sunscreen all over, and finished with a matte powder, but it pilled terribly. On that day, I even felt itchy around my chin area.

Texture As you can see in the photo, it has a slightly creamy, ointment-like texture that applies smoothly and evenly. 2. Hydration While the moisture doesn't last all day, it kept my combination dehydrated skin hydrated for 5-6 hours before I needed to reapply. For my baby, one application was enough to keep the skin moisturized throughout. You can see how dewy it looks in the photo! 3. No white cast Both my baby and I loved that it doesn't leave any white residue on the skin. 4. Reef-safe formula for marine ecosystem protection As a mother, I can't help but think about the future our children will live in. The phrase 'marine ecosystem protection' caught my eye immediately when I received the product. Knowing how much pollution regular sunscreens can cause in water, I really appreciated this feature. 5. Easy to wash off While I can wash it off right away, sometimes my baby falls asleep before we can cleanse properly. Even when I just wipe it off with a damp cloth and cleanse properly the next morning, it doesn't cause any blemishes. That gave me peace of mind.
Cons1. Scent I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, and this one has a strong medicinal smell that was difficult for my baby to tolerate. Although it doesn't contain harmful fragrances, it's challenging to apply when the baby dislikes it. 2. Emphasizes dead skin cells While it wasn't an issue for my baby's smooth skin, when I tried to blend it on my own skin, it caused some pilling. It wasn't severe, but it was noticeable to me. This wasn't captured in the photos, but it was disappointing. It was fine the day after exfoliating, but as someone with sensitive skin who can only exfoliate once a week, I found myself very conscious of this issue when applying sunscreen.
TipEven though I tried patting it in instead of rubbing, it took a lot of time (my baby was crying and fussing to go out), and I still couldn't prevent the dead skin cells from being emphasized.

I've been looking for cream formulas to apply on my child. My little one dislikes anything touching their face and even resists regular creams, so I couldn't even attempt mineral sunscreens with white cast. Surprisingly, this Modubarun sunscreen is chemical-based but causes absolutely no eye irritation. I discovered Modubarun through their baby shampoo, and the reviews weren't lying - it's a great product with excellent ingredients. We've settled on Modubarun for our baby shampoo needs. Having sensitive skin, I usually test cosmetics on my neck first and gradually work up, but with Modubarun products, I feel confident applying them directly to my face. Since it's for my child, I deliberately applied it close to my eyes, and there was no stinging - it passed the test! There's no white cast, so it's easy to apply evenly. I can even spread it down to my neck without it feeling sticky or clinging to clothes. At first application, I thought it might be greasy, but as it absorbs, it leaves a moisturized feel. I reapplied twice over time, and it layered well without pilling. On my child's face, it spreads easily like a cream. I just massage it in and it absorbs nicely. It seems perfect for reapplication with cleansing wipes during light water play or outings with the little one. There's a space to mark the opening date, and the cap isn't loose, making it great for carrying around. During the testing period, I also bought their facial foam, which is also non-irritating to the eyes and hydrating. The sunscreen seems to wash off easily too, which is convenient when bathing my child. I'll definitely repurchase after finishing this one.
ConsIt was fine on bare skin and okay for my child, but for me, it tends to pill a bit when I keep reapplying over makeup. It's better when I wipe with a cleansing tissue before reapplying. The texture could be a bit more emulsion-like, maybe with the consistency of a moisturizer. I wish it absorbed a bit faster. It would be great if they could make a sun stick for moms and kids too. Even though it might require synthetic waxes, perhaps they could use the best possible ingredients? Also, how about creating cleansing wipes that can remove the sunscreen when we're out and about? I realize this review has quite a few requests!
TipWhen outdoors, it works well to wipe it off with a cleansing tissue before reapplying.

However, the fact that this easy-wash sunscreen can be removed completely with just one cleanse is a major advantage in my opinion. I also appreciate that it's formulated with safe ingredients suitable for pregnant women and children, making it a trustworthy product. There's no eye irritation or white cast at all.
ConsIt feels a bit rich, so when applied before makeup, it seems to cause some pilling with the base products. Unfortunately, being an easy-wash formula, it's not suitable for summer water activities, so I'd recommend a different product for those occasions.
