Recently, my skin has been reacting badly to creams, making me a skincare nomad, but this one is actually okay. The hydration lasts for a long time too.
ConsIt feels a bit slippery, I think. I can't really tell if anything has specifically improved.

The perfect balance of richness and smoothness creates a delightful texture! While it may take a bit longer to absorb, it's wonderfully hydrating and suits my dry skin perfectly in this season. When I apply cushion foundation over this cream, it doesn't cake and adheres seamlessly to my skin! The fragrance is minimal, making it comfortable to use without any concerns.
ConsThe more you pat the cream into your skin, the more slippery it becomes. If you're not a fan of a slick feel and slow absorption, you might find this cream doesn't work for you!

I think this will become my new go-to cream! - Improves skin texture and soothes With the weather heating up, my skin was getting rough and showing signs of irritation, but this cream completely resolved that. I felt a noticeable calming effect. I haven't experienced this level of soothing since using a dermatologist-prescribed cream. The calming effect is excellent. - Deep hydration solves dehydrated skin It's incredibly moisturizing, so I didn't experience any feelings of deep dryness or tightness. Thanks to this, I was able to simplify my skincare routine, using just a combination of essence, oil, and this cream. - Works well with mineral sunscreen I have super sensitive skin, so I've been using mineral sunscreens. This cream helps counteract the drying effect of mineral sunscreens to some extent. It doesn't pill or separate, which is great. - Thick emulsion type It's a slightly thicker emulsion rather than a typical cream. There's a slight richness after application, but it's not sticky, which I like. - Compact container size The tube seems a bit smaller than standard sizes. This should be convenient for travel. - Wake up to honey-like skin When I wake up in the morning, my skin looks even better... It becomes incredibly smooth.
ConsI couldn't really find any downsides. It suits my skin perfectly. If I had to nitpick, it's a bit slick, so your hands and face might feel slightly greasy.
TipWorks well with hydrating essences. A great cream for dry skin types to use year-round, except perhaps at the height of summer.

For those of us who absolutely detest using spatulas with regular cream jars (lazy beauty enthusiasts, I see you!), this tube packaging deserves a star right off the bat. It prevents contamination that often happens with open jars. The texture is more of a rich emulsion rather than a thick cream, which initially made me, with my extremely dry skin, a bit skeptical about its moisturizing power. However, it applies thinly and leaves a slight oily sheen, definitely keeping the skin hydrated longer than your average cream. What's most impressive is how it immediately tackles that deep dryness. As a Hwahae Tester, I only got to use it for less than a week when my skin was acting up, so I can't guarantee 100% improvement. But even with just toner, serum, and this cream - skipping my usual routine of toner, ampoule, serum, eye cream, and moisturizer - I noticed it significantly reduced that tight, dry feeling you get when you smile or make expressions. I wish I could've tried it when my skin was in better condition. Since I used it when my skin was quite irritated, I feel like I couldn't fully appreciate all its benefits. What a shame!
ConsIf you're not a fan of a slightly slippery finish, this might not be for you. However, it's not sticky.
TipRecommended as a lightweight yet long-lasting hydrating cream for deep dryness, even in the hot summer months.

Product experience: - Fragrance-free - Absorbs smoothly and maintains a silky feel after absorption, not sticky - Absorption isn't particularly fast - Slightly rich texture but not heavy - Gives a moderate glow - No irritation - Provides sufficient hydration even with a small amount - Might cause pilling if used under makeup
ConsNot recommended for those who dislike products that take time to absorb or feel slippery on the skin
TipFor those with deep dryness, I recommend applying toner or essence as a base, then layering this product thinly multiple times

Hanbul Cosmetics has a 35-year history, and we're all familiar with the amazing value of It's Skin products (Power 10 is fantastic!). In 2016, they acquired Neopharm (the company behind Real Barrier, Dermatory, and Atopalm), which has significantly boosted their product quality and research credibility. I wanted to introduce the brand first, fearing the unfamiliar name might overshadow the product's potential. The Amino Acid Cream boasts three key features that I always look for in skincare to minimize skin irritation: - Fragrance-free - Dye-free - Tube packaging The two main keywords for this amino acid cream are hydration and soothing. Its formulation includes an amino acid solution (moisture reservoir), panthenol (strengthens skin barrier), pea ceramides (moisture barrier), and niacinamide (helps with blemishes) - a combination designed to combat dryness and irritation! While I haven't experienced its effectiveness in soothing heater-induced irritation (as it's not that season yet), I felt it could help with UV-induced skin irritation, especially now that the weather is getting warmer, causing both heat and moisture loss from the skin. The photo shows a before and after comparison: my skin reddened from a day of makeup and environmental factors, and how it calmed down the next morning after applying the cream.
ConsWhile it's described as having a highly moisturizing texture without greasiness, some might find it creates a film-like sensation on the skin. It glides on smoothly, but this barrier-like feeling might not appeal to everyone. Rather than feeling like it's deeply absorbed, it gives the impression of working on the surface of the skin. Keep this in mind when considering the product.
TipDictionist has researchers focusing on ingredients, formulations, and efficacy, as well as managers responsible for quality, production, design, and communication. This shows their commitment to creating trustworthy products! The clean packaging and simplicity stand out, and the product is not only good for the skin but also environmentally friendly, using carbon-minimizing production methods. It's a win-win! Currently, Hwahae is offering a duo set for just 25,900 won! It's a great opportunity to stock up on this smart cream at an excellent price.

It's a perfect middle ground. Often, high-moisture creams on the market can be quite thick, leaving a heavy feeling on the skin without properly absorbing. I was pleasantly surprised by this product's medium consistency, which works well. - Hydration Sometimes I skip toner and apply this cream directly. It provides a noticeable level of hydration, offering adequate moisture for spring weather. - Fragrance-free There's virtually no scent to this product.
Cons- Rich texture (for oily skin types only) This isn't necessarily a drawback, but it's worth noting that this cream isn't oil-free. It has a slightly slick feel, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin.

Cons- There's a slight slippery feeling initially, but it absorbs well into the skin fairly quickly. - It's nearly fragrance-free, but those with sensitive noses might detect a subtle milk-like protein scent.

It's best to use just the right amount. I must admit, it provides ultimate hydration!
ConsThese days, many products absorb well even when applied generously. I tried using a lot of this one, but after the moisture was absorbed, it left an oily residue on my face that felt slippery. When I used a small amount, it was fine, but the day after I applied it heavily, blemishes popped up here and there.
TipSince it moisturizes well even with a small amount, apply it moderately.

This cream applies so smoothly and feels incredibly hydrating! It's not heavy, which makes it perfect for layering. For those of us with extremely dry skin, one application of cream isn't enough, so we need to apply multiple layers. If a cream is too heavy, it becomes difficult to layer. The Dictionist Amino Acid Cream has a consistency that's slightly runny - somewhere between an emulsion and a cream - which makes it absorb well. It's not sticky, but it leaves a moisturized finish that helps maintain hydration for a long time. After it absorbs, you're left with a subtle glow. I remember using the Dictionist Amino Acid Ampoule before without any issues, and since both products are lightweight and hydrating, I think they'd work well together. I also appreciated that the scent is very subtle, almost fragrance-free. I tend to dislike strong fragrances in facial products, and this one is barely noticeable when you first squeeze it out. If you really try to smell it after applying, you might catch a hint of something, but it's hard to describe. In my opinion, it's not an off-putting scent at all.
ConsRight after application, there's a moment where it feels like all the moisture is gathering on your skin, creating a slick layer of hydration. You need to wait for it to fully absorb before moving on to the next step in your routine! If you're in a hurry and try to apply sunscreen immediately after the cream, you'll end up with a mess. Fortunately, it doesn't take forever to absorb, so just give yourself a little extra time when getting ready. For the same reason, those with oily skin might be shocked when they first apply it. To be honest, as someone with extremely dry skin, I didn't find the moisturizing effect quite sufficient. I think this would work better for those with mild dry to combination skin types.
