I don't have blemish-prone skin, and my skin isn't extremely dull or sensitive. When I use products that don't suit me or my biorhythm is disrupted, I sometimes get pustules around my nose and mouth. I prefer products with moderate oil content.)) Hydration: I was desperately searching for a new cream after my regular product was discontinued. Every new product I tried was lacking in some way, and meanwhile, I started working in a place with the heater on full blast, which really deteriorated my skin texture. Then I started using this product, and my rough cheek skin became smooth! It seems to be a great product for winter. Also, since my U-zone is very dry, products with this level of oil content definitely seem to improve texture! However, compared to the product I've been using for years, this one felt a bit heavier. As a result, I initially had some blemishes in my T-zone...! Even small bumps appeared on my forehead where I rarely get them. Fortunately, after applying a skin barrier-type essence and then using a tiny amount of this product (less than the tip of my pinky), my skin condition improved tremendously. I didn't feel much deep dryness, and it wasn't too greasy - it was just right. When I like a product, I tend to stick with it, and I think I'll keep using this combination...! + It has a nice consistency - not too thick or thin, and absorbs well. Summary: Slightly rich in oil, so use sparingly. Works well with hydrating, skin barrier-type essences. Pleasant to use. Good moisturizing power.
ConsScent: I didn't notice much of a scent during regular use. However, when I got hot and sweaty around my nose and philtrum, an extremely strange odor (in my opinion) emerged... It wasn't like a typical cosmetic fragrance, more like the smell of dust on cement...? Rich texture: It feels like it clogs pores and has a rich texture! So I recommend using only a small amount. Even though it's winter, I'm using just a pea-sized amount. And I'm someone who usually feels dry easily. It might be a bit heavy for midsummer use. Probably not suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin. Average performance: I didn't really feel any functional benefits like strengthened skin barrier, brightening, or firming... It just felt like it created an oil barrier on the skin. So it's not a 'Holy grail!' product, more like a 'decent pick'. Deep dryness: It feels like it just coats the skin and there's a sensation of deep dryness. You'll definitely need to use an ampoule or essence with it.
TipI received a sample of Low Quest? essence from Olive Young and have been using it together with this cream. They seem to work well together. Before using that essence, the area around my mouth was dry and I was getting blemishes, but since I started using them together, my skin condition has improved the most. Less deep dryness too... I recommend this combination for those with moderate combination/dry skin.

It felt adequately hydrating but didn't seem to improve deep dryness. It seemed more suitable for seasonal changes or fall/winter use. My current skin condition is a disaster - redness, dry patches on nose/cheeks/chin, slightly oily forehead, occasional clogged pores due to dead skin cells causing small bumps, and sometimes folliculitis. *** The third photo shows oil transfer when I touched my forehead a few hours after application, thinking it might be a bit too oily. Applying it generously like a regular cream makes it too oily. In summer, you might need to use just a pea-sized amount for better control.
Cons- Too greasy due to coconut oil/shea butter content Despite having dry skin, perhaps due to age, I'm developing slightly more oil. The texture wasn't refreshing for summer use. I had a vague feeling it might clog pores, so I couldn't use it daily. Instead, I used it every other day or every 3-4 days. It might be better suited for use in drier, cooler seasons like fall or winter.
TipThis would be great for extremely dry skin types with very little natural oil. Please note that it contains shea butter and coconut oil, so those with allergies to these ingredients should be cautious.

After application, skin appeared plump with a glow. It's not a formula that absorbs instantly, nor does it make skin feel truly firm from within like collagen creams. ✔️Scent: Almost fragrance-free ✔️Effects: While I didn't particularly notice a reduction in deep dryness, as it's an amino acid cream, it seemed to improve my skin barrier. Temporarily, I experienced almost no redness. Rather than feeling intensely hydrating, it gives a sense of gently protecting the skin. ✔️Irritation: Despite having sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes after using this. ✔️Will I repurchase?: Probably yes. It's not irreplaceable, but it's good. I've been using La Roche-P balm for redness, but when that feels too heavy in summer, I'll likely buy this product instead.
ConsIf I had to point out a downside, for oily skin types, if you don't thoroughly absorb a small amount, it might clog pores...?
TipDry skin types can likely apply generously without issues, but if you have oily skin, when using rich creams like this, apply a small amount only to problem areas, spread it well, and pat to absorb.

Seeing their claim of '100% satisfaction in maintaining hydration', I thought this must be a product truly confident in its moisturizing abilities. However, given that I've tried so many moisturizers with only a handful ever conquering my extremely dry skin, I didn't have high hopes... but wow, was I in for a surprise!!!!!!!!! Amazingly, even a small amount left my skin feeling deeply hydrated in real-time. When I applied it before bed, the hydration lasted until lunchtime the next day! Previously, due to my extremely dry skin, my nighttime routine included 'toner, ampoule, two creams, and Vaseline'. After trying this product, just 'toner and the Dictionist Amino Acid Cream' was more than enough!!!!! Seriously... this is incredible... Interestingly, while it feels silky smooth like oil to the touch, it doesn't look overly greasy when applied, making it comfortable to use. ▶️ Skin irritated by heaters/UV rays I usually get sun allergies and my face turns red in cold weather when the heater is on, but with this product, those issues completely disappeared! ▶️ Gentle ingredients This is the first product I've seen on Hwahae where none of the ingredients are flagged as potentially irritating or allergenic out of their list of 20 caution ingredients. Being vegan, it's incredibly gentle, so even those with sensitive skin can use it without worry! ▶️ Texture/Scent It's fragrance-free, and while I expected the texture to be either very thick or runny, it was neither - just a smooth consistency that doesn't drip at all. I wanted to write an honest review, and I didn't expect to praise it this much, but I ended up listing so many good points because I love the product so much.. It's that good!!! Trust me and give it a try!
ConsAs it's a moisturizing product, it does leave a slightly slippery, oily finish which might not be ideal for those who dislike that feeling. I did wonder if it might clog pores due to its intense hydration!
TipI recommend using it at night before bed rather than in the morning. If you do use it in the morning, try mixing a small amount of the Dictionist Amino Acid Cream with your sunscreen for a smoother application!

Scent: The fragrance is nearly undetectable, making it suitable for those with scent sensitivities. Feel: It creates a sensation of an oil barrier on the skin, giving the impression that the active ingredients won't evaporate.
ConsFeel: While the oil barrier seems to lock in the active ingredients, the finish feels too greasy and slippery, leaving hands feeling oily. Blemishes: The rich texture seemed too heavy for my skin, causing something like clogged pores after use, which made skincare a bit challenging.
TipThe fragrance-free formula and good absorption make it pleasant to apply. The initial feel is refreshing, so those with dry skin might find it great for hydration as a final step before cream, potentially helping to seal in the active ingredients from previous steps. However, for oily skin types, it might feel more like an oil barrier than a moisturizer, potentially feeling heavy and possibly leading to blemishes. It's best to adjust the amount based on your skin condition!

I wanted to try a moisturizing cream, so I was thrilled to win this amino acid cream. The tube packaging is cleaner and more hygienic than jar types. The texture is like a cream mixed with a hydrating moisturizer. It applies smoothly with a slight stickiness at first, but seems to absorb quickly. The hydration is neither great nor terrible, but for someone with very dry skin like me, it's a bit lacking. That's why I used it together with a hydrating moisturizer. It's good for simple use, but unfortunately, it made my milia worse and didn't suit me.
ConsShea butter doesn't agree with my skin, and sure enough, the milia under my eyes got bigger, so I had to stop using it. Also, when I woke up in the morning, I noticed small droplets of oil, like sweat, on my cheeks and forehead where my pores are larger.
TipThis cream alone doesn't provide enough hydration. You need to apply an additional hydrating moisturizer or essence.

Even 6 hours after application, I didn't feel any deep dryness. It seems perfect for dry weather conditions.
ConsWhile there's no tightness over time, it's interesting to see tiny oil droplets visibly emerging from the pores. This is more of an observation than a drawback.

During seasonal changes and winter, dryness increases around the nose, cheeks, and between eyebrows, along with more dead skin cells. Texture: It feels rich and substantial at first, but applies smoothly. The soft texture absorbs well without leaving any residue, providing deep hydration without feeling sticky. Scent: As someone who doesn't prefer scented skincare products (except perfumes), I appreciated that this one is fragrance-free. It's suitable for those sensitive to scents or with particular preferences - everyone should be able to use it without issue! Effectiveness: During this season when it's hard to escape dry heat and temperature changes, I usually start experiencing itchy cheeks. However, with this product, my skin itchiness has significantly decreased (from 3 to 1) and dead skin cells have reduced (from 3 to 2). The hydration has also greatly improved my skin texture.
ConsWhile I don't typically get blemishes on my nose, I noticed a small pimple inside a pore. I'm not sure if it's due to the cream, but I'm mentioning it for reference. If I had to nitpick, I wish it came in a larger size!
TipIf you pat it in thoroughly and apply an extra layer to areas prone to flakiness or dryness, it works great under makeup without causing any pilling.

I tend to have redness, but since this product balances oil and moisture, I've noticed gradual improvements. With consistent use, I think it will be effective. As time passes, it doesn't cause any deep dryness, but instead provides a rich feel, making it perfect for fall and winter use!
ConsWhile it's a fragrance-free product, I noticed a slight chemical smell when I woke up after using it. Perhaps due to its rich texture, it might be clogging my pores? Every time I applied it, I developed painful blemishes on my cheeks near my nose. It might be better suited for those with extremely dry skin types.
TipRecommended for those with super dry skin. It might be beneficial to apply it in thin layers multiple times, spacing out the applications.

Its glycerin-rich texture initially made me wonder if it would be hydrating enough for winter, but the ceramides create a moisture barrier that prevents quick drying. With nourishing ingredients like shea butter and panthenol, it feels wonderfully hydrating as it absorbs into the skin. The Hwahae Testers would appreciate how it quenches the skin's thirst for hydration.
ConsWhile it doesn't leave a greasy finish, I found the glow factor a bit lacking for winter use. As the weather gets colder, I wish it had a richer, more nourishing texture. It seemed slightly inadequate in moisturizing the under-eye area, potentially emphasizing fine lines. The ceramides form a protective layer, which is great, but it can lead to some pilling and may clog pores, causing sebum to accumulate. Reapplication can make the face feel a bit sticky and cause more pilling, so I wouldn't recommend carrying it for touch-ups throughout the day.
